  • WWF was a train wreck then.. all these feuds started but nothing complete

  • what month was this?

  • This was around the time I quit watching. Brother Love, Doink the Clown, The Repo Man, Irving R. Scheister. Total crap

  • Wrestling back then was the best!!!

  • The era of annoying, cartoonish gimmicks. It soured me on wrestling and I stopped watching it altogether from 1989 until about 1996.

  • HOW ON GODS GREEN EARTH CAN ANYONE WATCH "WWE" NOW A-DAYS

WHEN YOU WATCH THIS!! MY GOD WRESTLING WAS SO AWESOME BACK THEN, WTF DID THEY DO! NOW YOU GOT A BUNCH OF GUY's RUNNING AROUND CLAIMING TOO BE THE BEST OR "AWESOME" WOW ARE YOU KIDDING ME! THANX FOR KILLING THE SHOW "CREATIVE" GREAT SHOW!

Last week honest I tried watching wrestling for at least 10min, I just couldn't. no talent what so ever!!! Shame shame!

  • this is why he got fired at went to WCW?? WOW.. epic fail for WWF at the time... this is friggin gold!!!

  • He wasn't fired; he quit.

  • Rude and Mr. Perfect should have been WWF Champions, but they had the great misfortune of wresting in the WWF during the Hogan era.

  • @Guyver5182 So true, but Rick Rude, and Mr. Perfect, made the IC Title during this time pretty much above status of the WWE Title, and World Title in 2012.

And as top mid carders, Rick, and Perfect got more TV time then Hogan.

  • RIP Boss Man and Rude

  • It´s so sad, that Bobby is a bad healthy shape right now, hearing him talk like that. That´s a totally different Bobby Heenan in the past compared to the present.

  • @keijimuto why would you even make such a comment? Of course he's not the same, he's sick. Go criticize somebody else.

  • funny how nearly all the wrestlers in those days we're fun and great to watch now only a handful can hold it to the likes of rude, honky tonk and jake the snake, and its not just nostalgia i watched a few old matches and they are way more natural and dynamic. today its too over choreographed and repetitive

  • "FACE TO FAT"....LOLZ

  • Brother Love was so stupid that it is hard to watch. Rude should have made him HUM-Bel

  • Rude was so juiced up it wasn't even funny. He wasn't MASSIVE but he was ripped to shreds

  • Oh no, Bruce Pritchard is trying to flirt with Rick Martel, how horrible.

Highlight of the year, Rick Rude still kicks ass!!!

  • Rick Rude. Hated him as a kid, now I want him in the Hall of Fame!

  • I'd rather be a inner city sweathog pdynamics 1 LOL!

  • Rick Rude was one of those Wrestlers out of Robbinsdale Minnesota unique and sadly it's a shame he died

    Legend out right

  • RUDE!

  • Ahead of his time.

  • Ravishing Rick Rude was phenomenal. I truly believe that, if not for some bad breaks in his career, he'd be mentioned in the same breath with guys like Stone Cold, the Rock, and Hogan. I think that he made a mistake in leaving the WWE in 1990 and going to WCW, which was a second rate organization. He was clearly on his way to great things in the WWE. Also, his career-ending injury in 1994 was a bad blow. It's kind of sad, IMO.

  • @Edgehead10075 No, he made the right move to jump to WCW. In the WWF there was a backstage pecking order where Hogan would always be in the title hunt and anyone else was clearly a midcarder unless they were something special (Taker, Warrior). Rude realized his feud with Warrior was over and he'd never be in the main event again so he bolted for a fresh start where he could main event almost instantly. The 94 injury robbed his chance to bolt back to WWF when Hogan took WCW over backstage.

  • Even if what you're saying is true, eventually Warrior and Hogan were gone. Rude would have definitely been a main eventer during the time when Bret Hart was a main eventer. Yes, Rude was a world champion in WCW, but going to WCW definitely lowered his profile. I happen to think that Rude was something special.

  • @Edgehead10075 It took a full year to get rid of the Warrior and Hogan wasn't gone for good until 1993. Rude's jump to WCW put him in the main events almost instantly that he wouldn't have gotten in WWE. Sgt Slaughter and Rude's best friend Perfect were the featured stars and Rude would have been floundering in the mid card. Had he not gotten injured in 94, he could have jumped back to WWE after main eventing (or close to it) for 2 years.

  • @Edgehead10075 man a hart/rude feud for the the championship could have been huge

  • I think his contract was up and he chose to go to WCW.

  • @J5MARLON No - Rude's contract wasn't up - he left WWF over a pay dispute. Rude was scheduled to be apart of the 1990 survivor series, but was replaced on the heel team by Haku.

  • It just made sense for him to manage Micheals, wish that lasted longer...he left because of thescrewjob I think and/or money... can't blame the man, he also had a screwed up neck do to sting botching something in Japan(I think sting...)

I wonder if he would have lived longer he would have managed him during his comeback run and re-unite with him and Triple H

  • Suspended for this?

  • rick rude would make a great Nazi impersonator

  • INCREDIBLE LOOKING MAN

BIG AND MUSCULAR TILL THE DAY HE DIED

  • Rick Rude was my favourite heel of all time!

  • ".....flies on sugar." What he really wanted to say was flies on shit. lol.

  • I always preferred when he had the longer hair. He looked too generic with the short hair but I was still a fan of Rude. You had more fat wrestlers back then so he was "special".

  • Brother Love used to annoy the hell out of me back in the day, but I must say, this was very funny!

  • haha fuck the big boss man, im down with bobby the brain lollll!!!!!!

  • I miss when PRO WRESTLING was gd.... RIP Rick Rude

  • Damn! I miss the older wrestlers ...they had so much more charisma than most of the stars today. Wrestling was so much fun...not that PG crap that's on today.

  • @msaint41 You know the WWF back in the 80's & early 90's was PG as well?

  • PUTRID Panty Waist gutter trash with breath that smells like an over used barf bucket

  • rick martel is jokes

  • broda lovvvveee... miss this guy!

  • Rick was an incredibly intelligent and well spoken man and to this day i still consider him 1 of the best ever. His body was awesome,i think the best body i ever saw.Miss you Rick,R.I.P..................................................RR

  • Incorrect title. This was not Rude's last appearance in the WWF.

  • @mbranco24 It was the last appearance he made as an active performer before quitting the company over a pay dispute over his match vs. Warrior at Summerslam.

  • Seriously, Rude made the pedo mustache awesome.

  • breath that smells like an overused barf bucket....lol

  • i think Ravishing Rick Rude had the most incredible body however i still think they didn't give him much respect like they should have, beside being a heel he was a very good wrestler

  • @violetviolence79 Yes he was. That was a real stupid storyline to have Rude start a fight by saying bad things about Bossman's mom.Because Rude was a bad guy I had a feeling that Rude was being pushed down the card because in those days the good guy always prevailed over the bad guy.I don't remember seeing Rude after this.

  • Comment removed

  • i think there was an incident around this time with rude or heenan getting cuffed to the guard rail

  • @PhilM662 oops , probably should have watched the whole video first. at least I was right though lol

  • His gimmick looked better as the 1980´s porn star.

  • Dude- Glenn Beck is the New Brother Love!!!!

  • DUDE- GLENN BECK IS THE NEW BROTHER LOVE!!!!!!!!!!

  • Damn, I love Bobby Heenan!

  • It sucks that Rick Rude has'nt been included in the WWE HOF, Vince McMahon sure knows how to hold a grudge. There never was any mention of his death or even a tribute.

  • @360whiplash What was then WWF.com did have a story on his death, that's where I found out about it. They even made mention of Rude's appearance on RAW and Nitro on the same night as "having made history," IIRC.

  • By the way, this was shown on October 20, 1990, one day before my 10th B-Day!

  • I pride myself on knowing the histrionics of the WWF (back when it was decent brand) around this period, but I had no idea Rude and Bossman feuded. Rude goes from feuding with Warrior at Summerslam to the lower ranks with Bossman.

  • Damn he was hot

  • show some respect you little turd @MoulonStooge

  • how did rick rude die again?

  • @bigd735 Heart failure from years and years of the roids

  • @bigd735 rude died of painkillers and GHB... not steroids..he was addicted to painkillers due to sorry ass sting breaking his neck!

  • @Blackie004 i thought he died of aids, that's what i heard

  • its sad these guys are dead

  • This was the same year that Earthquake injured Hulk Hogan's sternum in an attack on Brother Love's show. So Jack Tunney set the precedence: You can break a man's sternum, just don't insult their mother...

  • Funny how this epic Rick Rude-Big Bossman match up would not take place.......UNTIL December 27,1993 STARRCADE'93

  • The ironic thing is that The Big Boss Man would go on to say much worse things about The Big Show's father, and never got suspended for any of it.

  • Rick Rude had Terrible speaking skills.

  • what was the problem with the things he said? where was the reason to fire him?

  • hahaha ill take care of her too!

  • Did you know that Rick Rude is actually Don Frye

  • Im aiming for 17 so that sucks, lawls!

  • i agree wrestling this day and age got no personality's they all look the same act the same no fun.

  • Rick Rude was awesome. But he looked like a gay Freddie Mercury.

  • @MoulonStooge Uhh... Freddie Mercury was gay. Am, I missing the irony??/

  • @JoshOrtiz88 Yeah, you are. Meant to be a joke.

  • @MoulonStooge

a gay freddie mercury ? freddie was gay- died of aids. they do look alike, rick rude is one of the greatest ever, these were the days, todays characters dont even come close

  • this sint his last wwe appearence he was a founding member of DX in 97

  • reminds me of freddie mercury on roids

  • One of the greatest heels of all time. R.I.P. Rick Rude.

  • What I'd like to have now...is for all you fat, out of shape, youtube sweathogs, keep the noise down while I take my robe off and thumbs up this video!

  • maAAAan, I miss those characters back in the day!!! When every single storyline made sense....and it had humor to it!!!! hahahahahahaha

  • the first golden era!

  • I wonder if Bruce Prichard ever got his skin checked

  • @Pryce121 I always thought so, but once he was chased by the Ultimate Warrior and his white Jacket was red and then I noticed that it was red Make Up.

  • "Brother Ravishing!"

  • Like this segment needs voice overs from Vince and Piper? Lame WWF bullshit.

  • Rick Martel is one of several underrated superstars in the 90's that WWF never gave a proper push.

  • What I'd like right now is for all you FAT, UGLY, OUT-OF-SHAPE YOUTUBers to keep the noise down while I take my robe off and show the ladies what a real man is all about. Now hit the fuckin music. LOL!

  • @pdynamics1 LOL! that was great

  • Everything was better back then, especially the characters. It's why I come here to watch wrestling. I have not watched current wrestling for over three years now. Today's WW"E" just plain sucks.

  • The Model Rick Martel was gold.

  • Also Id like to point out even though we never got to see Big Bossman vs Ravishing Rick Rude in the WWE, we did however get to see the feud take place in WCW in 1993, They faced on an episode of WCW Saturday Night in 1993 with The Big Bossman ( known as The Boss ) victorious. They met again at Starrcade 1993, with Rude getting the win at that encounter.

  • Ravishing Rick Rude was getting over great in this era as a main event star. This new aditude that Rick Rude was showing being relentless in the ring, cutting his hair, it was a more badass Rick Rude we were seeing here. Too bad Rick Rude left WWE in 1990, I think had Rick Rude not left WWE, he could have been the WWE Champion. it is also a shame we never got to see a match between Hulk Hogan and Rick Rude, WWE could have make some serious money with that kind of feud.

  • the characters were soooooo much better back then.

  • @Taught77 There ARE no characters now. Just long hair and tans. No substance.

  • @Taught77 Fully agreed, and this was by far the most hilarious interview I've EVER seen in wrestsling or anywhere else.

  • @Taught77 You got that right. They knew how to work a crowd & were very kayfabe.

  • @Taught77 definitely..the miz, orton and cena are nowhere near this

  • How did Bruce Pritchard do his make up?

  • @fixxxer3456 - I would guess a combination of rouge and a sponge,hehe

  • It really upsetting that both Boss Man and Rude arent here anymore.

  • RIP Rick Rude , Another Dead Wrestler from Steroids.

  • @mrjamesb562 Actually it was GHB that was in his system... steroids had nothing to do with it. He was cycling to get back into shape and they were in his system but they had little to do with his passing. I know the medias blanket on steroids is to present them as this evil drug, but alcohol kills more people then steroids ever will. Hell Lyle Alzado was injecting GH from human corpses. Actual anabolics are an easy scapegoat, trust me watch a video or two about them and you'll think differently

  • @Martinl792002 - Anabolic Steroids often raise LDL (Bad) Cholesterol , a Bad # is 200 ,Steroid use can elevate that to 800+,that can cause heart failure due to arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease.

  • @mrjamesb562 Theirs' alot of different studies, alot of that as well goes into the dosages you are taking. When I played football I cycled in the offseason from 1998-2002 using Deca and Dianabols as prescribed, I think where alot of these guys go over board is to attain that ripped at 250-275 kinds of bodies, and using HUGE dosages. Hell the Governator popped 20 pills a day! I just think that it's a combination of so much shit in your body that takes the lives of guys, it's sad regardless though

  • @Martinl792002 - The Governato has also had a Couple of Heart Surgeries, when I was playing ball Dianabol and Winstrol-Stanozolol were popular , I never tried any , These Wrestlers never have an Off Season and I doubt someone like Eddie Guerrero ever"Cycled down" much,Search Youtube and you'll find a clip where Sting flies out of the Ring and breaks Rude's neck and You are Right, it is Sad ,I'm not Saying 'Roids are Evil and if that was the Difference between making Millions of Dollars ,maybe..

  • @Martinl792002 - ..I'm kinda of glad I'll never have to take the "Million dollar" Question on whether to use or not.

  • @mrjamesb562 Yeah, a couple linemen at my high school were big into d-bols, being a linebacker I wanted to know how these kids were benching 400 as sophmores. After that though I just felt it wasn't necessary after my last year at NIU... What annoyed me was during the Benoit tragedy when all these fools like Mark Mero are trying to grab their final 15 minutes by throwing all the blame into the drugs and not himself. I hear ya, personally I would rather just use natural supplements today

  • @Martinl792002 -Watch the CBC Documentary on Benoit (I'll send you the link) The 1st Part is a little Cheesy but once you get to the Neurologists findings, it gets interesting, It's Clear that Benoit suffered from a Form of Dementia from Multiple Concussions...

  • @Martinl792002 - The Documentary is called "Chris Benoit: A Fight To The Death" on Fifth Estate , I sent you the link...

  • @mrjamesb562 damn!!!! I just watched that video! It hurt to watch that

  • Rick still gets me hot and bothered... indeed sexy as hell!

  • ODOYAL RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • bro love is a fanny

  • RIP, Ravashing One, you left WAY too soon...

  • Rick Rude AND Rick Martel should BOTH be in the WWE Hall Of Fame!!!!

It's criminal those guys ain't just yet ....

  • I always thought Rick Rude looked like a muscular version of the Datsun 280ZX "Black Gold" advert guy.

  • what was wrong with the comments? did i miss something?

  • I`d leave too, who would want to waste their time feuding with that bum

  • Rick Rude was a fantastic wrestler just a shame that he had to get on the "Gas" before Vince would push him!

  • "Ravishing" Rick Rude, Don Frye & Freddie Mercury

    King of the stasches

  • @SolidMike84 u 4got tom selleck

  • @ployeeeee

Tom Selleck was more like Magnum TA

  • I miss these days. The best of wrestling ever guys...

  • did ric die at that time?

  • rick was the ultimate gay

  • wrestling was a surrealistic version of everyday reality case the nazis had won the war

  • is this before he became the member of the dangerous alliance?

  • Rick Rude was an alltime great, in the ring and on the mic. RIP Ravishing One.

  • Rick Rude was a human sit up machine

  • damn that motherfucker was in shape

  • RIH

  • it was Rick Rude's last appearance as a worker, but not his last appearance EVER...he did reappear with DX for a while!

  • One of the greatest wrestlers of all time. They don't make em like this anymore.

    RIP

  • this was to turn into a rivalry between big bossman and rick rude, then why did jack tunney fire rick rude when all his comments about bossman's mother was scripted? that was a big mistake made by the WWF... he could have been a potential wwf heavyweight champion... who would have thought that 3 years later they would have a rivalry in WCW...

  • He found out how much Warrior got paid for Summerslam compared to him so he walked. WCW gladly offered him a contract and a push which saw him win the belt. Vince shouldn't of been a tight ass.

  • You can tell Rude's heart isn't in this promo. He still pulls it off well, but you know he realizes he's about to leave WWE. Letting Rude go was one of WWE's biggest mistakes ever, and WCW profited from that. He helped make WCW look good from late '91 to mid '94, despite backstage turmoil in WCW.

  • He should have been the champ at some point! same for mr.Perfect!! Hulk Hogan could have let these guys have a chance but he had to go milk hulkamania too much instead!!!

  • He had short hair back then? When did Rick Rude get his hair cut?

  • Barf Bucket!

  • Rick Rude was one of the best heels of his generation.

sadly, neither Rude nor the Big Bossman are still with us.

  • @Lfdjake91Ravishing Rick Rude was the perfect arrogant and cool heel at the same time!

  • What could he of possibly said that got him suspended?

  • @aquemeni541 Of course,Rude's suspension was only on screen because he had actually left WWF due to a contract dispute.WCW utilized him 10 times better than Vinnie Mac was ever willing to.

  • if you realy nortice every wrestler since he took over the wwe that all of his wrestlers passed away befor they was 50 50/50 heart attacks and drug over doses and machmann forced they to use steroids to keep up with apearence wtf machmann put hit out on benoit

    '

  • if you realy nortice every wrestler since he took over the wwe that all of his wrestlers passed away befor they was 50 50/50 heart attacks and drug over doses and machmann forced they to use steroids to keep up with apearence wtf

  • homo rick martell wtf he was one hell of a tag champion back in late 70ies very early 80ies machmann turned him into a damn homofobic wtf

  • homo rick martell wtf he was one hell of a tag champion back in late 70ies very early 80ies

  • homo rick martell wtf

  • Rick Rude incriminated himself.

  • gotta love the model

  • I use to love Brtha LOve! lol

  • Rick Rude was COOL and he knocked out people with one slap in real life.

  • Rude was gay. as queer as brother love.

  • @veeseee128 He was a married man, you douche. And you wouldn't have had the balls to say that to him if he was still alive, so go piss off, you stupid ass troll!

  • Gotta love this clip - "Brother Ravishing". What a weird combination of words. And of course, the inimitable Bruce Pritchard as "Brother Love". He's still employed by WWE to this very day. And of course, the great Bobby Heenan. One of the greatest wrestling personalities in history. Three truly memorable men here in this clip. Look on YouTube for the appearance Bobby and Rude made on "Regis And Kathie Lee" . . . priceless, simply priceless.

  • @elc1960 actually, Bruce Pritchard was fired in 2009. He was just interviewed about it on one of the online radio shows.

  • @subtractivemagic Thanks for the info! I hadn't heard about it and naturally assumed he was still with them.

  • @subtractivemagic what did he say?

  • Why did Rude leave the wwf back then?I wonder if he got busted for steroids.

  • @sammys70

It was over a salary dispute with Vince MacMahon. Vince is a cheap SOB and Rick was offered more at WCW.

  • george michael & freddie mercury of wrestling

  • Look at this awesome body. Rick Rude was the sexiest man alive...

  • @cabrito550 ...Uh, I hope you're a chick...

  • His last appearance in 1990 lol.
