This song is genius. I honestly thought I was the only one to have ever played NeoGeo when I was a kid. Playing King of Fighters and SNK vs. Capcom on that bad machine was the shit.
This songs reminds me of all my video game experiences. From playing Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario World at my cousins house when I was 4 or when I used to go to the Playstation store in SF Metreon.
Or when I'd spend hours playing demos at Electronic Boutique (used to be EBgames which has now been bought by Gamestop).
yeah, ill admit playstation improved come visit Fuedal Japan with me and Tenchu, Bushido Blade 2 with sword play so accurate, Mega man legends but i had to buy a map for it!
Have you taken a look at the roster? Not only are there characters that deserve to brought back that won't be but have you losers that are being added to the series.
@Ginga yea i have looked at who they have in so far. The only people i want in are cable, punisher (sadly he's not in), jin,and that's about it. I like the new fighters they put in actually.
RIVAL SCHOOLS BATSU PURCHASE YOU OUGHT TO IT CAME WITH ONE FREE CD ITS LIKE I BOUGHT TWO. You can tell these niggas love gaming. This is riddled with LOVE for the thing. I can respect that. Damn it I WANNA PLAY MULTIPLAYER ON A DC WITH DEL.
Hah, that line about Bernie Stolar was awesome. I remember when i was a kid i couldnt play xmen vs. street fighter because i couldnt find a store that sold the Saturn ram cartridges.
the album both sides of the brain came out in 2000 and this song was probably written around 1998 or 99 but thats a few years before the ps2 best gaming years of all time in my opinion thats the time of the classics.
Both Sides of the Brain still one of my favorite albums EVER! Deltron 3030 is in there too. This song is from 2001 I believe. Reminds me of my first year of college... Another song from this album was on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. I bought that album because of that game... So glad I did.
Also, he's right about the ram cartridge. If they had released that in the US it would have probably made a profit just on people wanting to play xmen vs street fighter.

Neogeo games did not count as arcade perfect because the cart system version was the arcade board. not pretty much not almost. it WAS the arcade board in a console shell. the dreamcast was the first system to get arcade perfect games.
lol, 'arcade perfect'. See, before Dreamcast, a home console with arcade perfect graphics was unheard of. This takes me back too. And makes me feel very, very old.
um arcade perfect ports exsisted before the dreamcast, you know that right? atleast list a game, that was ported to the dreamcast that was arcade perfect.
There were? For home console? You could at least take your own advice and list one yourself for me. Only thing I could think you would list would be that one 2D fighter for NeoGeo (don't remember the name; one dude had a fart move). But who could afford NeoGeo back in the day? Virtua Fighter 3 (as Del says at the end of this song) was an arcade perfect port for Dreamcast. So was Crazy Taxi, and so Soul Calibur. To name a few. Actually, Soul Calibur was a tinge better on the Dreamcast.
Actually VF 3 on Dreamcast was not arcade perfect. It was one of the biggest gripes the game had. Model 3 hardware was too difficult to port in time. But Games like crazy taxi, MVC2 and powerstone were all arcade perfect ports because of the noami hardware compatiblility. Actually any game would essentially come out arcade perfect if it was based off Noami hardware, which 90% of arcade machines out at teh time were.
neogeo comes to mind..lol there you go. then you have xmen vs street fighter on sega saturn, you had dark stalkers on sega saturn as well, hell even the psx version was arcade perfect. street fighter alpha. i can keep going and going. arcade perfect ports didnt happen during dreamcast. the consoles before it was doing good ports then.
So, basically... we had a few arcade perfect Capcom 2D fighters before Dreamcast (discounting NeoGeo, which pretty much WAS an arcade machine). Then allow me to correct myself. Before Dreamcast, a home console with 3D arcade perfect graphics was unheard of. Better?
alot of these games who were on arcades including alot of the capcom fighters and other arcade classics were made on NAOMI hardware which was basically a souped up Dreamcast, thus making ports extremely easy and YES arcade perfect.
