@Rubik932012 The fatality rate on Annapurna is indeed higher historically, but it is the architecture of the mountain which is notorious for avalanches sweeping climbers to their deaths. Its technical challenges aren't as daunting as those on K2, which is considered the most difficult to ascend of the 8000 meter peaks. They have the same fatality rate since the 90's though. K2 has also yet to be climbed in the winter season.
