As a kid in the 1960s I remember Jonny Quest and the Outer Limits was on back to back on ABC TV.

John Stephenson actually didn't provide the "case" voice on Dragnet until after Jonny Quest aired. In the 1950s, George Fenneman did the open and close.
Doug Young even provides a straight voice in one of the clips here.
