This is a pretty awesome EP. It brings to light how there are complete lunatics walking around. The way the music intertwines with the guy speaking is perfect! One of the best EP's out there! Buy it!!
Does anyone know who the guy being interviewed in this track is? Is it an actor or an actual person? It seems like he could garner of "conspiracy theory" fans if he had his own youtube channel, or something.
@tinestifyed thats why this band is so great, neither the music nor the interview is really in control, they fade back and forth, i rarely hear other bands pulling that off
I read the description, but to me it almost sounds like he says "since I was forced", do you know if he says four, or forced? Doesn't matter, but a bit interesting!
@XiaoPow I do notice a 'sss' sound after the 'four/force'. But I also heard a noticeable gap between the 'four/force' and 'sss', So naturally I chose 'four'. Additionally 'four' makes more sense to me than 'forced'.
It's weird, when I'm listening to the dude in this song speak, I think, 'You've got absolutely no idea what you're talking about'. But when I read the manuscript, his speech picks up a lot more traction. I can't explain it, but then again this whole album is indescribable.
@Hodgo33 that's bias. while listening to a person speak, your mind goes a step beyond processing the information it's receiving, to make inadvertent judgments about it as well (credible or incredible) based on the speaker's delivery (tone, accent, pronunciation, etc.)
funny thing about the guy talking here that most people don't know is he's just some random hack and his "poem" is almost entirely lyrics stole from the iron maiden song "virus", check it out if you don't believe me lol, apparantly gybe didn't know that until, after this EP was released. anyway, dope track
yeah the guy has delusions of grandeur, I like how he keeps changing his story that he left it at that but then he keeps adding on things. Sadly I agree with his impressions of the american government although for more reasons than perhaps a parking ticket. I remember reading somewhere that the audio of the guy talking in this song is completely made up by GSYBE its not taken from anything. They hired some guy to read it out.
im not understanding why your comment is getting thumbs down. yes i do agree the american government is pretty much as he explains a bunch of liars, cheats and ripoffs.
god damn! this if fucking genius. after all the other albums which are already genius, I thought that it couldn't get better, then I listened to this song... it blows my mind over and over again!
Wow I bought this cd like ten years ago and forgot all about it. I like the song but lost the cd, than I am doing a search that has nothing to do with the song or band and I find it.
This is neither afar from Mozart and just as respectful as Mona Lisa, yet we deploy it on the internet like some trash. This is true Art. This is true Music. This is a Masterpiece
See, most people dont have the higher level of thinking to realize what music really is. People believe that music is pretty much an obligation in order to recieve more friends. However it also does make sense that listening to the music that they listen to makes them who they are, so i guess this is just who we are in the overall picture.
Its only Natural for lets say, teenagers , to seek attention and friendship by projecting their musical taste to others, in search of the feeling of being involved.
And finding someone that has the same musical taste as you is a wonderfull feeling.
And im talking about music that is not meant to be commercial , no matter how commercial or popular it gets afterwards.
I'm just getti'n into this band, first heard this song on a fanmade cage fight video. It's an amazing song.
But Wheres the rest of the song gone, correct me if i'm wrong i don't know much about the band yet, but where's that awesome lengthy guitar rave near the end gone???
It's actually a funny story, the band interviewed a man who called himself Blaise Bailey Finnegan III who "wrote poetry". He recited Iron Maiden's Virus, passing it off as his own. The band didn't realize it was unoriginal until much later. Or at least that's what they claim.
You mean, Blaze Bayley?, well, Bayley, co-wrote "Virus" with Steve Harris, Janick Gers and Dave Murray, he is talking about his song, I don't know why is funny.
No, this isn't Blaze. It's a random man they met who called himself Blaise. He was ripping off the lyrics to Virus, pretending it was an original poem.
I didn't know exactly who was talking in this video, what I was saying is that Blaze did wrote that song, I know because I am a big fan of Iron maiden.
the song is named after iron maidens old singer blaze bayley, and the poem is an iron maiden song called "virus" performed by blaze bayley. but it is not blaze speaking
HST didn't rip off lyrics, he was smarter, more perceptive, more poetic and more genuine than this...and totally incoherent. Although I'm willing to bet this guy reads the Fear and Loathing materials.
HST and Godspeed should have had a drink someday.
ive been looking for this for so long i can never find the version with this bit in it, thank you so much ts truly inspirational stuff (although i dont agree with muh of it) just to hear someone who belives in him self so much is realy movieng
I put this song to a dragon ball Z AMV that I made because no one makes anything good with those.. just crappy linkin park songs and bad metal. This song was perfect I thought. Click the video response if you're curious.
I've been a DB fan for ages....back before it was even shown on Toonami, and I just can't picture GYBE fitting a DB video. Sorry man. To each their own.
i see katrina's wrath. not from a political or social perspective, but just as a raw, unbiased example of how vulnerable our lives really are and how brittle structure and society is in the grand scheme of things. if that makes sense
I imagine always two guys talking on sidewalk in the middle of the day... they are talking about something BIG but nobody on the street is listening to them because always important sentences are not listened by ordinary people.
This is a pretty awesome EP. It brings to light how there are complete lunatics walking around. The way the music intertwines with the guy speaking is perfect! One of the best EP's out there! Buy it!!

grrreat FuAcKing PosT! i feel they exact same the justice system & politicians are The government, the American government,
they're sneaky, they're very deceitful,
they're liars, they're cheats, they're ripoffs.
I mean, the American government is one
systematic government that, that nobody
can trust. I don't trust them myself.
