  • This is a pretty awesome EP. It brings to light how there are complete lunatics walking around. The way the music intertwines with the guy speaking is perfect! One of the best EP's out there! Buy it!!

  • That guy and his speeding ticket story... hes the last true American.

  • grrreat FuAcKing PosT! i feel they exact same the justice system & politicians are The government, the American government,

    they're sneaky, they're very deceitful,

    they're liars, they're cheats, they're ripoffs.

I mean, the American government is one

    systematic government that, that nobody

can trust. I don't trust them myself.

  • Does anyone know who the guy being interviewed in this track is? Is it an actor or an actual person? It seems like he could garner of "conspiracy theory" fans if he had his own youtube channel, or something.

  • if you like this music, you need to check out Pete Namlook on Fax +49...

  • i think their best album.

  • @jeromed2 It's an EP but yes, it's also my favorite recording.

  • This is giving me the chills.

    Amazing, just amazing

  • But its not about the speeding ticket its about he says in court¡¡

    amazing banD¡¡

  • masterpiece It is¡¡¡

  • Beautifully amazing

  • I have always enjoyed the likes of Sigur Ros and Explosions in the Sky but these guys are on a different fucking planet playing their own ball game.

  • beautiful..thanks for taking time and posting this interview..

  • This is THE song why i get in post rock

  • the guy talking is nuts its a speeding ticket sheesh... lol

  • this man is my hero just for telling the judge what he thinks. That is what everyone should do. Say what u have to say.

  • it's more powerful if you listen to the music and let bits and pieces of the diatribe wash over you.

  • @tinestifyed thats why this band is so great, neither the music nor the interview is really in control, they fade back and forth, i rarely hear other bands pulling that off

  • Love the way the speaker says "and I left it that" before continuing to rant about what he says to the judge...

  • The last part of the "interview" was like a bomb xplotin' front of my eyes... and.. hes absoluty right...

  • they played this in Dublin last night..... genuinely a privilege to have seen and heard what integrity is.

  • My life theme ...

  • This music is incredible. A symphony for the disillusioned, eccentric people on the street.

  • I read the description, but to me it almost sounds like he says "since I was forced", do you know if he says four, or forced? Doesn't matter, but a bit interesting!

  • @XiaoPow I do notice a 'sss' sound after the 'four/force'. But I also heard a noticeable gap between the 'four/force' and 'sss', So naturally I chose 'four'. Additionally 'four' makes more sense to me than 'forced'.

  • @KSCIAA ;; too always heard 'four' but 'forced' is more sensibel when i think about it.. by that man

  • @XiaoPow

    its four...

    lyrics in the band's websitee...

  • I did a video on "Est Hasings". Check it out... in my videos.

  • nothing but the truth

  • these guys are playing at TROXY in london but i cant get tickets cos seetickets dont accept paypal ffs lol

  • It's weird, when I'm listening to the dude in this song speak, I think, 'You've got absolutely no idea what you're talking about'. But when I read the manuscript, his speech picks up a lot more traction. I can't explain it, but then again this whole album is indescribable.

  • @Hodgo33 that's bias. while listening to a person speak, your mind goes a step beyond processing the information it's receiving, to make inadvertent judgments about it as well (credible or incredible) based on the speaker's delivery (tone, accent, pronunciation, etc.)

  • whats is this from the guys talking?

  • truly epic

  • Which Album is this song from

  • @shadowlen148 slow riot for new zero kanada.

  • who is interviewed?

  • holy shiz lucassumtimes... I dig

  • funny thing about the guy talking here that most people don't know is he's just some random hack and his "poem" is almost entirely lyrics stole from the iron maiden song "virus", check it out if you don't believe me lol, apparantly gybe didn't know that until, after this EP was released. anyway, dope track

  • @cheesewithcrackers

Nah, the man talking is Jordan Maxwell, a man of extreme importance.

  • yeah the guy has delusions of grandeur, I like how he keeps changing his story that he left it at that but then he keeps adding on things. Sadly I agree with his impressions of the american government although for more reasons than perhaps a parking ticket. I remember reading somewhere that the audio of the guy talking in this song is completely made up by GSYBE its not taken from anything. They hired some guy to read it out.

  • im not understanding why your comment is getting thumbs down. yes i do agree the american government is pretty much as he explains a bunch of liars, cheats and ripoffs.

  • @tylerarnold1234 I agree. Should be all thumbs up over here.

  • @Tibor47 Yeah. Whether or not any of that story is true, the ideas behind it are.

  • yeah pretty much.

  • The guy's bullshitting, I was in court the same day and he paid his fine without saying a word.

  • how do u know?

  • noo wayy!

  • Are you aware this guy is a fictional character?

  • Are you aware we're all fictional characters.

  • @LucasSumtimes Greatest. Response. Ever.

  • That made me tingle.

    I bow to you.

  • best anarchist speach ive ever heard in my life!

  • god damn! this if fucking genius. after all the other albums which are already genius, I thought that it couldn't get better, then I listened to this song... it blows my mind over and over again!

  • this song is so good!

  • one of my favorite groups next to jesu

  • this is nice

  • Wow I bought this cd like ten years ago and forgot all about it. I like the song but lost the cd, than I am doing a search that has nothing to do with the song or band and I find it.

  • This is neither afar from Mozart and just as respectful as Mona Lisa, yet we deploy it on the internet like some trash. This is true Art. This is true Music. This is a Masterpiece

  • See, most people dont have the higher level of thinking to realize what music really is. People believe that music is pretty much an obligation in order to recieve more friends. However it also does make sense that listening to the music that they listen to makes them who they are, so i guess this is just who we are in the overall picture.

  • @ MansoonArising

i agree with you and i have to add this too

Its only Natural for lets say, teenagers , to seek attention and friendship by projecting their musical taste to others, in search of the feeling of being involved.

And finding someone that has the same musical taste as you is a wonderfull feeling.

And im talking about music that is not meant to be commercial , no matter how commercial or popular it gets afterwards.

Other than that, this is a wonderfull piece!

  • @1990Spiros not just teenagers.

  • moya+this=masterpiece

  • 50 of these views have to be from me alone, I can't stop listening to this song.

I tried explaining to my friend, its just pure addiction.

  • Yeah, I introduced this band to my friends, they just don't get it.

  • Me2 ;)

  • wow! this very very very good song, Godspeed You Black Emperor is the best!

  • So freaking Epic!

  • THIRD RATE!!!!

  • I think this is probably my fav gybe song.

  • Such a unique genre, so dark and deep. I love Godspeed. One of my favourite bands, and very intense and heart pounding to listen to high.

  • I'm just getti'n into this band, first heard this song on a fanmade cage fight video. It's an amazing song.

But Wheres the rest of the song gone, correct me if i'm wrong i don't know much about the band yet, but where's that awesome lengthy guitar rave near the end gone???

  • As it says in the video description/title, there are two parts/videos that I have made for this particular song.

You will find that the last half of the song is the Video Response to this video.

  • 2:02 - 'I don't repeat myself for nobody.' How brilliantly ironic.

  • That got a chuckle out of myself as well.

  • Lol, I thought that too.

  • Godspeed....

  • This is tooooo damn brilliant.

  • You think you're god because

you have a robe and you can

    put people up the goddamn

river for 20 years? Well you're not!

one of my best songs by gy!be

  • Encredibe. The story dialougue, the everything. Godspeed gets me high

  • So powerful, thanks for posting!

  • i can't understand what he's saying. other than that. cool.

  • You didn't look at the video description?

  • It's actually a funny story, the band interviewed a man who called himself Blaise Bailey Finnegan III who "wrote poetry". He recited Iron Maiden's Virus, passing it off as his own. The band didn't realize it was unoriginal until much later. Or at least that's what they claim.

  • You mean, Blaze Bayley?, well, Bayley, co-wrote "Virus" with Steve Harris, Janick Gers and Dave Murray, he is talking about his song, I don't know why is funny.

  • No, this isn't Blaze. It's a random man they met who called himself Blaise. He was ripping off the lyrics to Virus, pretending it was an original poem.

  • where did u find that info?

  • I didn't know exactly who was talking in this video, what I was saying is that Blaze did wrote that song, I know because I am a big fan of Iron maiden.

  • Where did you read this?

  • I've read it on godspeeds website.

  • Do they even have a website these days?

  • its the lead singer of iron maiden being interviewed here

  • Bruce dickinson? hell no its not

and also does anyone know what poem he recites

  • the song is named after iron maidens old singer blaze bayley, and the poem is an iron maiden song called "virus" performed by blaze bayley. but it is not blaze speaking

  • it always sounded to me like this was hunter s thompson being interviewed.

  • HST didn't rip off lyrics, he was smarter, more perceptive, more poetic and more genuine than this...and totally incoherent. Although I'm willing to bet this guy reads the Fear and Loathing materials.

HST and Godspeed should have had a drink someday.

  • Absolutnie piękne, jako całość i pojedyńczo, to jest.

  • who is being quoted in this??

  • ive been looking for this for so long i can never find the version with this bit in it, thank you so much ts truly inspirational stuff (although i dont agree with muh of it) just to hear someone who belives in him self so much is realy movieng

  • deniamnori

  • This is brilliant.

  • I put this song to a dragon ball Z AMV that I made because no one makes anything good with those.. just crappy linkin park songs and bad metal. This song was perfect I thought. Click the video response if you're curious.

  • Hah. Fabulous irony my friend.

  • douch bag way to ruin a good song!

  • I've been a DB fan for ages....back before it was even shown on Toonami, and I just can't picture GYBE fitting a DB video. Sorry man. To each their own.

  • i see katrina's wrath. not from a political or social perspective, but just as a raw, unbiased example of how vulnerable our lives really are and how brittle structure and society is in the grand scheme of things. if that makes sense

    d(-_-)b

  • Shivers

  • Pretty much the quotes and sayings have changed a point of view for me.. thanks for this video post.

  • You're welcome Render.

  • I imagine always two guys talking on sidewalk in the middle of the day... they are talking about something BIG but nobody on the street is listening to them because always important sentences are not listened by ordinary people.

  • @daweon Im pretty sure people wouldnt listen because its none of their besiness.

  • I mean, not images... scenes, actions, because for me, the music tells a story.

  • Oh I see. However my answer still remains the same. You see, music communicates differently to me than it does you.

While music may tell a story to you, for me, it shows me images. Images that are often of a somber natural scenery, thus the nature of my videos.

  • I can relate to that statement 100% KSCIAA. and thank you for posting this.

  • Sweet and you're welcome.

  • What images come to mind, when you listen to this song?

  • Ones like the ones you see in the video. Mostly desolate areas.
