It is beautiful to note that reading the whole Bible you will never find an Angel apearing to a human being saying: "Hail full of grace". Only to Our Lady you will see that an angel, celestial pure spiritual being, that sees God "face to face" will address to a human being saying: "full of grace". Our Lady is full of grace because God wants that! Jesus is the second person of the Holy Trinity, He wanted to come to the world from Our Lady, He wanted her full of grace!

The commandments in Exodus 20 says to honor "YOUR" mother. Mary is not my mother, neither is she yours. If you want me to honor Mary you must give me scriptural evidence showing me that I should, as of right now I would see that as the sin of idolotry.:)

11 There is none that understandeth, There is none that seeketh after God; 12 They have all turned aside, they are together become unprofitable; There is none that doeth good, no, not, so much as one:
Because sinful Mary is born from above (born again) she is spiritually my sister in Christ, no different than all my other sinful sisters in Christ. Those who are not sick do not need a physician.
Any apparition which says we can escape the fires of hell by wearing a scapular is denying what Christ did for us on the cross. The apparition Simon Stock saw wasn't Mary. If Simon Stock had been strongly rooted in God's Word he wouldn't have been fooled. Satan's coolaid looks good, it smells good and it tastes good.....ooops you're dead.

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus Christ, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the Universal Church, for those in my own home and within my family. Amen.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord; And let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen
@amordefedeceu1 Hogwash, there is no such place as purgatory, it's a man made myth. The one and only mediator has the final authority to forgive sins.
@amordefedeceu1 Hogwash, there is no such place as purgatory, it's a man made myth. The one and only mediator has the final authority to forgive sins, and that's Yeshua.:)
Those who call Mary a sinner are eternally turned away from Christ!!! If you have NO devotion to this Lady of Light, then go to your FALSE churches that have NO reminders of Saints, Mary or Christ!!! I fell sorry for , and will pray all heretics who are against the blessed virgin, will see that Christ ants us to adore his Mother!!!
Dear Lord Jesus, you shed your blood for us and yet we make up "stuff" which we hope will save us. Forgive us from trusting in human inventions. Draw us to your Saving Grace.
Hi there Everyone. I was wondering if anyone knew wheather or not one is suposed to wear The Brown Scapular even in the shower and while swiming. I take mine off for the shower because I fear our softened water will cause it to fall apart rather quicklly. can anyone quote a, or point me towards an authority on this matter that may be able to help me? Thank you.
How about the ulitimate authority, God...He never once mentions wearing a brown scapular...so if he is silent about it...then guess what? that speaks volumes..Mary doesn't trump over God, she never did and she never will.
@shanana000 Amen! :) Even Jesus was a man of no reputation, to raise a created mortal being (Mary) as equal to the eternal God is balsphemy to the highest degree.
Hello. You can take off your scapular e.g. when you go to the shower. I also have one and a carmelite priest who gave it to me explained to me all neccesary. A brown scapular is a sign of the devotion to Mary and I am proud that I am wearing one :-)
There are also other Scapulars: black (Servites), green (Vincentines), blue (the Immaculate Conception), red (fivefold scapular) and many others.
A thousand years ago the populace of the empire of Rome, the barbarians of Europe and the AmeriIndians where all iliterate, the only way to explain the gospel (the Word of God) was to show/paint/sculpt the gospel remember the world history of the Roman Catholic Church
When Catholics pray in front of a statue of Jesus, Mary or a saint they are not praying to the statue - the statue is only a symbol of the person it is representing. The Catholic is praying directly to Jesus - the statue is only a symbol or a reminder of Jesus. The Catholic prays not to a statue of Mary or a saint but directly to Mary or the saint and asks them to INTERCEDE for them. This means they want Mary or the saint to ask Jesus for help on their behalf.
@yendelwendal Our Blessed mother mediates between Jesus Her Son and Us. We could certainly ask our Father directly, but we asked our blessed Mother to intercede for us, the same way she did for Her Holy Son Jesus when He was little. She is our Mother, per Jesus request.
@yendelwendal The scripture is true, but do you know the commandments.. Honor thy Father and Mother, all Jesus is asking of you, is to honor his Mother. You dont have to , if you dont wish to, but think about how many graces you are missing. Our blessed Mother loves you too, and she suffers for you as well. You can choose to believe it or not, but the truth will not desapear just acomodate to your small world. peace be with you.
Amen! Mary was just like us, a sinner in need of a saviour. And no amount of plaster of paris whether it's shaped like Mary or Jesus can hear us. It's nothing but worthlessness that was made by the hands of humans and can be destroyed by humans...But Christ is the eternal word of God and died for us all, including Mary.
do you really think that Jesus would come to the world through a mere sinner , and not through a sanctified womb made Holy and pure ,, Mary was the predestined Lady to give birth to the messiah ,.. Jesus came to us through Her , we go back the same way.. this is Jesus' plan , not humans ,, Jesus calls us brothers and sisters ,on calvary He gave us His mother to be our mother , so that She may guide us with the love of a mother back to Him
Martin luther isn't my God. he was a mere human and he wasn't all knowing..he was like the rest of us that are in Christ, which is a work in progress.
Mary Understand the Triune God, The Father , The Son and The Holy Spirit. He is her savior because she was made of flesh like everybody else, but she was born without original sin, St. Ana and St Joachin were not able to have children, just like Sarah and Abraham, Therefore, Our Father was good to them, and St Ana became pregnant with our Blesse Mother when her husband was away, at a very old age. So you see, She was conceived by intercession of the Holy spirit as St. John, and Issac.
@yendelwendal So you must understand that anything that is of the flesh, needs to receive salvation through our lord Jesus, but also believe That Jesus himself came to pick the soul of our blessed mother. Him and an entire choir of Angels, and she was blessed and crowned by himself in Heaven. If you dont believe is ok, but my advise, is do not offend the Mother of our Lord, becasue at the end, it will not be a pretty picture when He himself will ask you for reparation. May God keep you in peace
@shanana000 Are you familar with Carm Christian Forum? Come and check it out, my forum name is 1509. Romanites get devoured with scripture in this forum.:)forums.carm.org/vbb/forum.php
Christians do not call Christians such horrible names. You must not be a Christian as once again you show that you listen to nothing that God commands in the Bible.
You probably call Jesus a Satanist also while you light candles in front of statues and give money to the statues.
Hell is calling you. Your hatred and rejection of Jesus mean that you can only go to Hell. WE will pray for you.
Unfortunately it is true. The saints do not all call her name. They call God, unlike you. The saints love an pray to Jesus, unlike you.
The blessed mother may call my name because I pray to God and not to a statue of her. She surely does not call your name because your rejection of Jesus and God makes you a friend of Satan. Mary rejects you as does Jesus.
Your candles in front of all of the saints and begging to their statues is a waste of your time. God is the only one.
We don't worship Mary as a goddess, but as the Mother of God, He is almighty. Mother Mary can ask God for neccesary things we need. And have you ever heard about the Holy Trinity? God, Jesus and Holy Spirit are one and the same...
The whole scapular thing is from Mary who promised the salvation from eternal fire. I think only God (God, Jesus or HS) can say that.
Also, I respect peoples opinion (e.g. whatever Leo XIII says) but that's his opinion and it sound a lot like treating Mary as a passage to God (Jesus).
I am quite surprised with Catholic overall. Especially after finding this scapular thing.
Only God can save us. Mary promised the salvation from eternal fire, that's right. But when you receive the Scapular you say by doing this that you will follow Christ as His Mother did (trying to improve in the virtues). It doesn't mean that by wearing Scapular you are automatically saved and can do what you want, no way. Scapular is a sign of devotion to Mary who helps you to grow up spiritualy.
Also things like rosary and other types of scapular: they don't save you, only God can do this. But they can help you to come closer to God through Virgin Mary. Do you understand what I mean?
@migely Call her blessed!!! Call her blessed!!! Like Saint Luke and all the generations of Luke chapter one, Call her blessed!!! :D Praise be Jesus Christ!!! :D The Most High is the LORD!!! :D
Go ahead and throw unChristian insults at me that Jesus and Mary would fine very offensive. Go ahead and hurt them more, if that is your will, by behaving more like someone who is full of the devil rather than one who is full of Christ.
The fact is that you are not a follower of Jesus and we all need to pray for you as you are a very serious sinner. You are already marked for Hell by your rejection of Jesus and everyone reading this feels sorry for you and prays for you.
No, the many different female statues that you light candles in front of are not praying for you. You have reject Christ and Jesus feels sorry for you as he knows that he will push you into the arms of Satan when you die.
We are all praying for you, a sinner and rejector of Christ. We also feel sorry for Jesus that he has to feel your rejection and arrogance. No candle lighting will help you with that.
Unfortunately, you pray to no one and no one listens.
No, the statue that you pray to is not Mary and Jesus commanded that you pray to God directly. You are in denial of Christ and have turned your back on Christ.
We all feel sorry for you and pray for you and your arrogance and denial of Christ. Jesus will not welcome you, but Satan will. It is a fact. Jesus does not listen to your prayers, but he will listen to the prayers of true Christians. We will all pray for you.
Jesus rejects you. It is a fact. You have turned your back on the New Testament and instead pray not to God as Jesus commanded, but to statues of Mary.
Jesus and his mother will greet me with open arms. I am afraid that they will reject you as an idolator. There is still time for you to apologize and repent of your evil.
Jesus and Mary are waiting for you to change and become a real Christian. I feel sorry for you and will pray for you.
It is true. The Catholic Church is no longer allowed to torture or execute in Europe. I suppose you are sad about that fact as you hate free speech.
Galileo was put under house arrest for the rest of his life and threatened with death for saying that the sun was the center, not the Earth.
Because you lie, you are not a real Christian. We all need to pray for you and not to a statue. God will be very angry with your soul. You should beg for forgiveness and apologize.
Unfortunately for you, the Catholic Church can no longer torture and execute us in Europe for speaking the truth about the nonsensical magical statues, virgin birth, peodophile priests, infallible pope, and all of the other lies and mythology and crimes.
You now have to listen to the truth about your corrupt Church and its medieval, bogus mythology. Isn't it a shame that the more light shone on the Church, the more it looks evil and just plain wrong?
Translating the New Testament from its original Greek leads to no other conclusion about James, the brother of Jesus. He was the biological brother of Jesus by Mary.
There's nothing wrong with a woman having sexual intercourse. It should not make her of any less value. Should she be less revered because she had sexual intercourse and enjoyed it? NO. She was a human being, not a God.
Mary was never called a virgin during her lifetime. She and the kids would've laughed.
Bitter, no. Angry, yes. Angry at the wolves who teach damnable heresies and lead people like you to hell. If you expect the 'blessed mother' to greet you when you die, you are in for a huge shock. Repent and turn to Christ.
Am I attacking her? NO, I am attacking her exaltation. She is just another saint, a sister to us, not a mother. There is not one shred of scripture to the contrary.

thrufaithalone: Did you know that the words "faith alone" only appears once in the Bible—in James 2:24—where it is REJECTED as a description of how we are saved?
truefaithalone: If you anti-catholic fundamentalists would abandon your pride and do a little honest research on Catholic apologetics, you will see that the Catholic faith is deeply rooted in scripture. I would never question your sincerity, or love for The Lord my friend but the fact that there are over twenty thousand different non-catholic denominations is proof that protestantism is an abject failure.
If you knew anything about the One True Church, you would know that this "object" isn't protecting anyone. The protection comes from the intercession of Our Lady. Who appeals to The Lord Jesus Christ on our behalf.
It is so sad that you don't have enough confidence to go to the Savior Himself. "All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away" Jn 6:37
truefaithalone: Christians pray for each other all of the time. The prayers of the righteous are very pleasing to God. Who is more righteous than the Blessed Mother of Our Lord? Don't you dare tell me that she's dead either. Mary is more alive in Christ than we are! You sound like an ex-catholic who left the church out of ignorance and are now trying to save the rest of us who are being fooled by the "Whore of Babylon". Don't worry, I did the same stupid thing a few years ago!
truefaithalone: Well... obviously Jesus is more righteous than Mary. Catholics ask Mary and the rest of the saints to pray for us. Since they are in Heaven, they have been perfected in Christ. We ask them to plead on our behalf to God almighty. The communion of Saints are part of the mystical body of Christ, as we all are. Asking the Blessed Mother of Our Lord to pray for us is similar to us pathetic creatures to pray for each other.
They are in an incomplete state - to state the obvious, the resurrection has yet to take place; their spirits have yet to be reunited with their bodies.
You apparently believe that people become as God; that is the height of arrogance. One thing is required in order to ask someone to pray for them, that person's presence or contact in some way; that would require omnipresence and omniscience - and God alone has those attributes.
Dear Catholic friends, trufaithalone's undeveloped sense of spiritual matters is typical of the anti-catholic fundamentalist. They simply are unable to grasp the idea that the Mother of Our Lord is a conduit of grace. She intercedes on our behalf and that any supernatural abilities that she may have, she receives from God Himself.
Dear Catholic friends, now is the time to ask who you are going to listen to: the voice of an apparition or the solid Word of God Himself who says: "I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my glory to another" Isaiah 42:8
truefaithalone: Catholics are not required to believe in the validity of any apparitions. But how do you know that God didn't send the Blessed Mother to give this message? Myself, I am not certain, but I'll accept it as true as a matter of faith. Only GOD gets to decide what Mary can and cannot do. ;)
mm3861-Then you need to read what the rich man was told when he asked that Lazarus be sent back to warn his brothers in Luke 16:27. Why do you not take God's Word and what Christ said over the words of an apparition?
So you admit that apparitions are real. Good boy! So are you trying to convince us that God cannot grant Mary this ability? This is all part of the same rotten fish called protestantism. This whole idea that our sins are "covered" with the merits of Jesus Christ is a "gift" of Martin Luther, a 16th century fallen away catholic priest. The New Testament is loaded with admonitions from Christ to obedience at the risk of eternal condemnation.
mm3861-Read Luke 16 for yourself. Those are the Lord's words. If God doesn't allow people to return to warn others, then the apparitions are demonic. Jesus said God's Word was Truth. 2nd Thessalonians says God would send strong delusion to those who didn't receive a love of the truth. The apparitions mix falsehoods with truth; anything not 100% true is a lie; hence the apparitions are from Satan the Father of lies.
truefaithalone: Who interpreted that scripture for you? So the Bible as interpreted by YOU is the "truth"?
I don't think so! The Church is the foundation of the truth. Not you my friend;)
........."if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God's household, WHICH IS THE CHURCH of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.
mm3861-You are evading the subject with ad hominem attacks. The discussion was about whether God allows people to return. Please address the issue of the rich man in Luke 16. What did the Lord say?
truefaithalone: God is not limited by what is in the Bible. Catholics do not worship Mary and we do not pray to "objects". You better pray to God to open your eyes and heart to love and honor the Mother of Our Lord as Jesus loved and honored her.
@thrufaithalone Read it, you will see!!! :D [And behold, two men were conversing with him, Moses and Elijah, who appeared in glory and spoke of his exodus that he was going to accomplish in Jerusalem.] (Luke 9:30-31) I do not see the difference when I call on the Blessed Virgin and she talks to me about our exodus from earth!!!
@joejoejoe54321 Jesus was not by any stretch of the imagination "praying" to them. He prayed to the Father alone. When the disciples asked Him to teach them to pray, how did He tell them to pray? (Hint: "Our Father")
@thrufaithalone Awe, Woe to you, Woe to you - do not interpret the bible to make your own words and your own beliefs. Jesus is clearly talking to Moses and Elisha. I can talk to Moses, Elisha, Mary, and all the rest - just like Jesus!!!
[Know this first of all, that there is no prophecy of scripture that is a matter of personal interpretation, for no prophecy ever came through human will; but rather human beings moved by the holy Spirit spoke under the influence of God.] (II Peter 1:20-21)
@joejoejoe54321 "Jesus is clearly talking to Moses and Elisha"
Jesus, being God did not seek prophecy from them - He already knew what was to happen. He was not praying to them. The prophecies were spoken and written down while these men were alive, not after they died. Jesus also spoke to them face to face. Those who have passed on are not omniscient, nor omnipresent and cannot hear prayers. Further, Mary said: "do whatever He tells you" Jesus said "Come to Me".
@thrufaithalone [Those who have passed on are not omniscient, nor omnipresent and cannot hear prayers.] - Where is this in the bible??? Or was it made up as a precept fo man that is taught as doctrine??? God bless you; pray to Mary and come home to the Catholic Church; Bless the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit!!! :D
@thrufaithalone [For this reason I kneel before the Father...that you, rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the holy ones what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to accomplish far more than all we ask or imagine, by the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generationsAmen]
@thrufaithalone Mary and Zechariah prayed to the angels of heaven in Luke 1. Saul talks to dead Samuel in I Samuel; so it is possible to talk to the dead. Jesus talks to the demons and rebukes them. St. John talks to the angels in Revelation. Catholics pray the Our Father in every Mass, in the Liturgy of the Hours, six times in the rosary, etc. I still do not see how Jesus calling on Moses and Elisha and conversing with them is any different to me calling on St. Peter and talking to him.GBY
@joejoejoe54321 Mary and Zechariah did NOT pray to angels; they spoke to them face to face. Saul was in disobedience and received his judgement. John was given Revelation by Jesus Christ. Again, JESUS said: "This, then, is how you should pray" 'Our Father...'", not "hail Mary".
@thrufaithalone Where does it say, "Thou shall not pray to saints?" I still do not see how it is different for me to talk to Mary and Jesus to talking to Moses...Mary is not God!!! Catholics do not worship Mary or the saints. The Saints have a personal relationship with God and we ask them to help us. [The saints intercession is their most exalted service to God's plan. We can and should ask them to intercede for us and for the whole world.] (Catechism of the Catholic Church: Pragraph 2683)
@joejoejoe54321 If you have instruction from Jesus telling you "This, then, is how you should pray" 'Our Father...'", why would you pray any other way? Praying to anyone else is disobedience to his command.
@thrufaithalone Where does it say, "Praying to anyone else is disobedience to his command?" You also do not have a good argument on why I can not talk to Moses like Jesus did. Also, I want you to call Mary blessed like in Luke Chapter 1, because the Holy Spirit says that all generations will call her blessed; Elizabeth filled with the Holy Spirit called her, "Blessed among women," and Jesus said, "Blessed are those who hear the word of God and act upon it." Mary is blessed above all women!GBY
[SECTION TWO (of Chapter Four of the Catechism of the Catholic Church)
THE LORD'S PRAYER
I. "OUR FATHER!"
2759 Jesus "was praying at a certain place, and when he ceased, one of his disciples said to him, 'Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.'" In response to this request the Lord entrusts to his disciples and to his Church the fundamental Christian prayer (the Our Father).]
Now you say with the whole Church and the Angel of Luke 1, "Hail, Mary!!!"
@thrufaithalone What was the role of the Queen in Ancient Israel?
[In prayer the Holy Spirit unites us to the person of the only Son, in his glorified humanity, through which and in which our filial prayer unites us in the Church with the Mother of Jesus.] C.C.C. Para. 2673
[No, you have approached...the assembly of the firstborn enrolled in heaven, Mount Zion and the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and countless angels in festal gathering...] (Hebrews 12:22-23)GBY
@joejoejoe54321 See my video "Re: Mary Our Mother, Queen of Heaven & Why We Pray to Mary".
Jesus told us how we are to pray. You deliberately disobey. "`Why do you call me "Lord, Lord" but you do not do what I tell you? He that hears My words, and does them not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great."
@thrufaithalone I do pray to the Father. Every mass is prayed to God!!! Where does Jesus say, "Do not talk to the people in eaven like I did on Mount Transfiguration?"
["Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites. You pay tithes of mint and dill and cummin, and have neglected the weightier things of the law: judgment and mercy and fidelity. (But) these you should have done, without neglecting the others. Blind guides, who strain out the gnat and swallow the camel!] (Matt. 23:23-24)
@joejoejoe54321 You are not talking face to face with anyone who has passed on as Jesus did when He was transfigured.
Deuteronomy 18:11 lists talking to the dead as one of the things that is an abomination to God: "Let no one be found among you....who consults the dead"
"Why consult the dead on behalf of the living? 20 To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn" Isaiah 8:19-20 You are the one who is blind. You reject the Word.
@thrufaithalone If I pray to the Father, am I face to face with him? If I am face to face with him, am I not face to face with his body? In the old testament God did not have a body; now that he is raise he has a body:
[God had foreseen something better for us, so that without us they should not be made perfect...since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses...you have approached...the assembly of the firstborn enrolled in heaven, and God the judge of all.] Hebrews11:40;12:1,22-23
[To another faith by the same Spirit; to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit...As a body is one though it has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body, so also Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free persons, and we were all given to drink of one Spirit...Now you are Christ's body, and individually parts of it.] (I Corinthians 12:9, 12-13, 27)
@yendelwendal Where is it in the bible that the catechism of God's presbyters is vain babble? By your own judgement you should be able to find a bible verse or your comment is just vain babble. The catechism of the dependents of the apostles, a practice started by Jesus and commanded by God in the bible, has its own citations in it; just look for yourself. "All these devoted themselves with one accord to prayer, together with some women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers."Acts 1:14
@thrufaithalone What a beautiful explanation, I am sure you must be inspired by the Holy Spirit. May God bless you and keep spreadin the love towards our blessed Mother.
I finally got a new scapular about a week ago. I've been wearing it everyday and it is actually more comfortable than my old one. My old one had plastic on it, which apparently was what made it uncomfortable, because my new wool one is fine.
Come, and abide with me forever. Give me the deepest love for the Sacred Heart of Jesus in order to serve Him with my whole heart, soul, mind and strength.
Take possession of all my faculties of body and soul. Regulate all my passions: feelings and emotions. Take possession of my intellect, understanding and will; my memory and imagination.
Then it was not a coincidence that your mini operation was on the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel! See, God works in mysterious ways. Like the fact that I joined You Tube on the vigil of Our Lady of Lourdes day. St. Bernadette is my Confirmation saint, and I love Mary and Lourdes, so that's the story of my username.
You are quite right in what you say. I have otrher problems that coukld have put me under, but they did not a problem, itis like the Lord had set them aside.
I think it's best to wear the scapular, one square over the chest and one square over the back, from my own personal experience. If they wear out, they are very inexpensive to replace (but DON'T throw out your old one).
Thanks a lot for this! What a heavenly feeling we have everytime we see Our Blessed Virgin Mary with her beloved Son. True to waht you've said, not so many people are aware of the scapular's virtues. Beside the Holy Rosary, the BVM had adviced it's importance. May your iniative brings results. I had one too and it was torn into two so I placed it in my car in which later on, was lost, so I promised myself that I got to have one very soon.
Ave Maria! a beautiful reminder to wear the scapular. So many promises and blessings go with wearing it. I love the stories. God bless you and thank you for posting this.
I noticed there was a serious lack of videos about the scapular so I decided to make my own. I've had one since second grade. I didn't wear it that often, believe it or not. The day I did wear it this year, it broke. So I am without a scapular. But I never go without St. Bernadette, my ring MM, and my class ring with the BVM on it.
The strings of mine are wearing out. Afraid they will break, I place it in a sheer drawstring bag with my rosary and put it in my pocket of my jacket ...
I gave my friend (non-Catholic Christian) a Miraculous Medal this past Christmas and my friend said the Medal is very powerful as she had a bad week during the week she didn't wear it ...
Our Lady definitely loves showed her presence through these Holy pious objects =)
It is beautiful to note that reading the whole Bible you will never find an Angel apearing to a human being saying: "Hail full of grace". Only to Our Lady you will see that an angel, celestial pure spiritual being, that sees God "face to face" will address to a human being saying: "full of grace". Any apparition which says we can escape the fires of hell by wearing a scapular is denying what Christ did for us on the cross. The apparition Simon Stock saw wasn't Mary. If Simon Stock had been strongly rooted in God's Word he wouldn't have been fooled. Satan's coolaid looks good, it smells good and it tastes good.....ooops you're dead.

thank you ....
Amen

???QUESTION???
Hi there Everyone. I was wondering if anyone knew wheather or not one is suposed to wear The Brown Scapular even in the shower and while swiming. I take mine off for the shower because I fear our softened water will cause it to fall apart rather quicklly. can anyone quote a, or point me towards an authority on this matter that may be able to help me? Thank you.
cardman14 2 years ago 2
How about the ulitimate authority, God...He never once mentions wearing a brown scapular...so if he is silent about it...then guess what? that speaks volumes..Mary doesn't trump over God, she never did and she never will.
shanana000 2 years ago
@shanana000 Amen! :) Even Jesus was a man of no reputation, to raise a created mortal being (Mary) as equal to the eternal God is balsphemy to the highest degree.
7777albina 11 months ago

@cardman14 It is Highly Reccomended to NEVER take off the scapular!!!

Jean18241 2 years ago 7
Thank you for explaining that!
lourdesgirl101 2 years ago
@Jean18241 If I make a request to God that's prayer to God.
If you make a request to Mary that's praying to Mary.
Do not neglect the 1Corinthians 13:6 part.in the love chapter.
Also as writtenin Exodus 20:1 it's the sin of idolotry to pray to any human, dead or alive.
yendelwendal 1 year ago
@Jean18241 What part of ONE do you not understand????
1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
All the rest is the sin of Idolotry and breaks the first commandment written in Exodus 20
yendelwendal 1 year ago

It's nothing but worthlessness that was made by the hands of humans and can be destroyed by humans...But Christ is the eternal word of God and died for us all, including Mary.
shanana000 2 years ago
do you really think that Jesus would come to the world through a mere sinner , and not through a sanctified womb made Holy and pure ,, Mary was the predestined Lady to give birth to the messiah ,.. Jesus came to us through Her , we go back the same way.. this is Jesus' plan , not humans ,, Jesus calls us brothers and sisters ,on calvary He gave us His mother to be our mother , so that She may guide us with the love of a mother back to Him

shanana000 2 years ago
@kpetals Extrabiblical reasoning based on fellings, your raising your intellect above the word.
The reason why Jesus was conceived in Mary's womb by the Holy Spirit was to escape the sin passed down from Adam to Mary.

John, and Issac.
ceiba74 11 months ago
@yendelwendal So you must understand that anything that is of the flesh, needs to receive salvation through our lord Jesus, but also believe That Jesus himself came to pick the soul of our blessed mother. Him and an entire choir of Angels, and she was blessed and crowned by himself in Heaven. If you dont believe is ok, but my advise, is do not offend the Mother of our Lord, becasue at the end, it will not be a pretty picture when He himself will ask you for reparation. May God keep you in peace

WE will pray for you.
migely 2 years ago
xerganzo
Unfortunately it is true. The saints do not all call her name. They call God, unlike you. The saints love an pray to Jesus, unlike you.
The blessed mother may call my name because I pray to God and not to a statue of her. She surely does not call your name because your rejection of Jesus and God makes you a friend of Satan. Mary rejects you as does Jesus.
Your candles in front of all of the saints and begging to their statues is a waste of your time. God is the only one.

Where was that saying "to Jesus through Mary" from?
hkdmustang 2 years ago
We don't worship Mary as a goddess, but as the Mother of God, He is almighty. Mother Mary can ask God for neccesary things we need. And have you ever heard about the Holy Trinity? God, Jesus and Holy Spirit are one and the same...
Where is that saying from? Leo XIII. I think
AureusVenerabilis 2 years ago 4
I am still surprised and cannot follow.
Especially after finding this scapular thing.
hkdmustang 2 years ago
Only God can save us. Mary promised the salvation from eternal fire, that's right. But when you receive the Scapular you say by doing this that you will follow Christ as His Mother did (trying to improve in the virtues). It doesn't mean that by wearing Scapular you are automatically saved and can do what you want, no way. Scapular is a sign of devotion to Mary who helps you to grow up spiritualy.
Nice day and God bless you :-)
AureusVenerabilis 2 years ago
If the scapular is a sign of devotion only, then Mary's promise was a lie? or we are supposed to ignore her promise?
Anyway, how could Mary promise such salvation?
Maybe I should read the Bible again.. Phew.. it is a thick book. Maybe I should read the New Testment only.
hkdmustang 2 years ago
Also things like rosary and other types of scapular: they don't save you, only God can do this. But they can help you to come closer to God through Virgin Mary. Do you understand what I mean?

It is true. The Catholic Church is no longer allowed to torture or execute in Europe. I suppose you are sad about that fact as you hate free speech.

NOT A VIRGIN
Translating the New Testament from its original Greek leads to no other conclusion about James, the brother of Jesus. He was the biological brother of Jesus by Mary.
There's nothing wrong with a woman having sexual intercourse. It should not make her of any less value. Should she be less revered because she had sexual intercourse and enjoyed it? NO. She was a human being, not a God.
Mary was never called a virgin during her lifetime. She and the kids would've laughed.

thrufaithalone: Did you know that the words "faith alone" only appears once in the Bible—in James 2:24—where it is REJECTED as a description of how we are saved?

mm3861-off topic again. My YT "handle" is only an abreviated portion of a statement of faith; I presume they only allow for a certain length.

truefaithalone: If you anti-catholic fundamentalists would abandon your pride and do a little honest research on Catholic apologetics, you will see that the Catholic faith is deeply rooted in scripture. If you believe that Christ died for your sins and rose again, why would you place your trust in an inanimate object for protection?
thrufaithalone 3 years ago
If you knew anything about the One True Church, you would know that this "object" isn't protecting anyone. The protection comes from the intercession of Our Lady. Who appeals to The Lord Jesus Christ on our behalf.
mm3861 3 years ago
It is so sad that you don't have enough confidence to go to the Savior Himself. "All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away" Jn 6:37
thrufaithalone 3 years ago
truefaithalone: Christians pray for each other all of the time. Don't worry, I did the same stupid thing a few years ago!
mm3861 3 years ago
mm3861-"Who is more righteous than the Blessed Mother...?"
The Savior Himself. When you pray to Mary, you are assigning to her the attributes of God. She is not omnipresent, nor omniscient.
thrufaithalone 3 years ago
truefaithalone: Well... obviously Jesus is more righteous than Mary. Catholics ask Mary and the rest of the saints to pray for us. Since they are in Heaven, they have been perfected in Christ. We ask them to plead on our behalf to God almighty. The communion of Saints are part of the mystical body of Christ, as we all are. Asking the Blessed Mother of Our Lord to pray for us is similar to us pathetic creatures to pray for each other.
mm3861 3 years ago
mm3861-"they have been perfected"
They are in an incomplete state - to state the obvious, the resurrection has yet to take place; their spirits have yet to be reunited with their bodies.
You apparently believe that people become as God; that is the height of arrogance. One thing is required in order to ask someone to pray for them, that person's presence or contact in some way; that would require omnipresence and omniscience - and God alone has those attributes.
thrufaithalone 3 years ago 2
Dear Catholic friends, trufaithalone's undeveloped sense of spiritual matters is typical of the anti-catholic fundamentalist. They simply are unable to grasp the idea that the Mother of Our Lord is a conduit of grace. She intercedes on our behalf and that any supernatural abilities that she may have, she receives from God Himself.
mm3861 3 years ago
Dear Catholic friends, now is the time to ask who you are going to listen to: the voice of an apparition or the solid Word of God Himself who says: "I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my glory to another" Isaiah 42:8
thrufaithalone 3 years ago
truefaithalone: Catholics are not required to believe in the validity of any apparitions. But how do you know that God didn't send the Blessed Mother to give this message? Myself, I am not certain, but I'll accept it as true as a matter of faith. Only GOD gets to decide what Mary can and cannot do. ;)
mm3861 3 years ago
mm3861-Then you need to read what the rich man was told when he asked that Lazarus be sent back to warn his brothers in Luke 16:27. Why do you not take God's Word and what Christ said over the words of an apparition?
thrufaithalone 3 years ago
So you admit that apparitions are real. Good boy! So are you trying to convince us that God cannot grant Mary this ability? This is all part of the same rotten fish called protestantism. This whole idea that our sins are "covered" with the merits of Jesus Christ is a "gift" of Martin Luther, a 16th century fallen away catholic priest. The New Testament is loaded with admonitions from Christ to obedience at the risk of eternal condemnation.
mm3861 3 years ago
mm3861-Read Luke 16 for yourself. Those are the Lord's words. If God doesn't allow people to return to warn others, then the apparitions are demonic. Jesus said God's Word was Truth. 2nd Thessalonians says God would send strong delusion to those who didn't receive a love of the truth. The apparitions mix falsehoods with truth; anything not 100% true is a lie; hence the apparitions are from Satan the Father of lies.
thrufaithalone 3 years ago
truefaithalone: Who interpreted that scripture for you? So the Bible as interpreted by YOU is the "truth"?
I don't think so! The Church is the foundation of the truth. Not you my friend;)

@thrufaithalone Awe, Woe to you, Woe to you - do not interpret the bible to make your own words and your own beliefs. Jesus is clearly talking to Moses and Elisha. I can talk to Moses, Elisha, Mary, and all the rest - just like Jesus!!!
[Know this first of all, that there is no prophecy of scripture that is a matter of personal interpretation, for no prophecy ever came through human will; but rather human beings moved by the holy Spirit spoke under the influence of God.] (II Peter 1:20-21)
joejoejoe54321 1 year ago
@joejoejoe54321 "Jesus is clearly talking to Moses and Elisha"
Jesus, being God did not seek prophecy from them - He already knew what was to happen. He was not praying to them. The prophecies were spoken and written down while these men were alive, not after they died. Jesus also spoke to them face to face. Those who have passed on are not omniscient, nor omnipresent and cannot hear prayers. Further, Mary said: "do whatever He tells you" Jesus said "Come to Me".

Peter and talking to him.GBY
joejoejoe54321 1 year ago
@joejoejoe54321 Mary and Zechariah did NOT pray to angels; they spoke to them face to face. Saul was in disobedience and received his judgement. John was given Revelation by Jesus Christ. Again, JESUS said: "This, then, is how you should pray" 'Our Father...'", not "hail Mary".
thrufaithalone 1 year ago
@thrufaithalone Where does it say, "Thou shall not pray to saints?" I still do not see how it is different for me to talk to Mary and Jesus to talking to Moses...Mary is not God!!! Catholics do not worship Mary or the saints. The Saints have a personal relationship with God and we ask them to help us. [The saints intercession is their most exalted service to God's plan. We can and should ask them to intercede for us and for the whole world.] (Catechism of the Catholic Church: Pragraph 2683)
joejoejoe54321 1 year ago

@joejoejoe54321 Why? Jesus told me to pray "Our Father..."
thrufaithalone 1 year ago

joejoejoe54321 1 year ago

[God had foreseen something better for us, so that without us they should not be made perfect...since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses...you have approached...the assembly of the firstborn enrolled in heaven, and God the judge of all.] Hebrews11:40;12:1,22-23
joejoejoe54321 1 year ago
@joejoejoe54321 God is omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent. God does not have a body; "God is Spirit"
thrufaithalone 1 year ago
@thrufaithalone Jesus is God and he hence has a body:
[To another faith by the same Spirit; to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit...As a body is one though it has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body, so also Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free persons, and we were all given to drink of one Spirit...Now you are Christ's body, and individually parts of it.] (I Corinthians 12:9, 12-13, 27)

@joejoejoe54321
Where is that in scripture?
Without the backing of scripture your ccc is just vain babbling.
yendelwendal 1 year ago
@yendelwendal Where is it in the bible that the catechism of God's presbyters is vain babble? By your own judgement you should be able to find a bible verse or your comment is just vain babble. The catechism of the dependents of the apostles, a practice started by Jesus and commanded by God in the bible, has its own citations in it; just look for yourself. "All these devoted themselves with one accord to prayer, together with some women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers."Acts 1:14

I wear several. Through a personal incident, authenticty of The Brown Scapular as a powerful sacramental was proven to me.

And you know this how?
thrufaithalone 3 years ago
I finally got a new scapular about a week ago. I've been wearing it everyday and it is actually more comfortable than my old one. My old one had plastic on it, which apparently was what made it uncomfortable, because my new wool one is fine.
God bless all of you!

You can order scapulars from the Rose Scapular Company there are many varieties with different images of saints.
Plus, they give a small discount on the volume ordered which reminds me to order more when I get a chance.

Act of Consecration to the Sacred heart of Jesus
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I consecrate myself to Your Most Sacred Heart. Take possession of my whole being; transform me into Yourself.
DarkTy077 3 years ago 2
Come, and abide with me forever. Give me the deepest love for the Sacred Heart of Jesus in order to serve Him with my whole heart, soul, mind and strength.
Take possession of all my faculties of body and soul. Regulate all my passions: feelings and emotions. Take possession of my intellect, understanding and will; my memory and imagination.

O Holy Spirit of Love, give me an abundance of Your efficacious graces.
Give me the fullness of all the virtues; enrich my faith, strengthen my hope, increase my trust, and inflame my love.
Give me the fullness of Your sevenfold gifts, fruits and beatitudes. Most Holy Trinity, make my soul Your sanctuary.

She gave me courage yesterday during my mini operation.

God bless.

BurtWilson1 3 years ago

"The day I did wear it this year, it broke."
lourdesgirl101,
The strings of mine are wearing out.
