Very true.. but the recent k-wave moving through asia this particular video and it's style is more k-popish than jpop. I been listening to j-pop since the mid 90's as well, double, m-flo, Utada, soul head, LL Brothers etc... I think k-pop scene is just hotter than the j-pop right now. So japan is just trying to keep up.
