no what Jesus said here is the difference between people Confessing and Professing Faith in Him as Lord the difference is that Confessing has truth to it Professing is just the saying of a statement to get out of trouble like someone in prison offered less time to testify or say they did something that they didnt do in order to help the police convict somebody else, Confessions not professions are made by Christians and that is the difference between somebody being accepted or rejected by Him

That could be your interpretation, but it's logic doesnt seem to follow through. Surely you dont mean to say the ppl who 'cast out devils and perform many miracles' in Jesus' name are lying. This cant be, since it is said 'did we not', i.e the guy's trying to say 'dont u remember when..??'.

So they apparently DID perform miracles in Jesus' name, indicating they were full-on Christians, definitly not trying to 'get out of trouble'.

The reason Jesus pbuh will say 'I never knew you' is because he never ever said, even in the Bible, worship me, or call on me in prayers. Yet, He said many time clearly that you should worship the Father, and he did say the Father is greater than I. John 14:28.

He also said He and the Father are 1. Still, theres no sign of any word like trinity, or His disciples worshiping him. The trinity was invented in 300 AD
