I actually spent the morning yesterday just watching/listening to Wayne Dyer interviews/talks, and am now wishing I'd bought more of his books. But that's what the library is for. ;o)

@momcalzmesheri Thanks! I have Deliberate Intent, an audio cd on money & have clocked in many an hour listening to Esther on The Tube! I'm sure I'm a certified Abraham Geek by now :O) Oh- also- I love the interview Oprah did with her, asking why the channeling. It was nice to see that side of her.

I hadn't heard really heard of it prior to watching her and reading The Law of Attraction and I found The Teachings of Abraham through the video The Secret. My husband and I watched the original version that had Esther in it.

What would you recommend for someone with quite a heavy dose of skepticism (but not an overdose) who is interested in starting out as a practicing witch?
@Fiara A heavy dose os skepticism... I feel you there! If you are open to meditation & visualization, Christopher Penczak's "The Inner Temple Of Witchcraft" is an awesome place to start.

@Fiara LOL. I know- it's obvious coming from me, BUT I really mean it! The rest get too much into Wicca for my taste- so I tend to cherry-pick thru those. Isaac Bonewit's "Real Energy" is also good- its a follow up to his VERY popular book "Real Magic". If you can get with the concept of the goddess, Marian Green's "A Witch Alone" is also worth checking out.

@MajorArcanaTV Okay, I think the Real Magic one is easiest for me to find right now. About daydreaming - I mentioned that because it seems that many people have trouble visualizing, and maybe it's because they were discouraged from it when they were kids. I could be wrong :D But yeah, I'd love to find a way to use this ability for self improvement.

Joanna this was SO AWESOME. I cannot wait for your series to start. I know this may sound strange, but I have noticed that when someone I respect (you) promotes books or ideologies that I have "blown off" in the past, it's a sign for me to pay attention and be open to changing my mind. My guides know that I have to really like a person in order to listen to their opposing opinions, so they put the people I will listen to in front of me. I truly believe that is what's happening.
