Honestly the only reason I found out about this song was becasue I happened to notice what I thought was Rise Against playing in the background of the newest Punisher movie. The scene where he blows that guy up while he was in mid-air jumping accross roof tops. I replayed that scene a couple of times until I was sure it was Rise Against then went through the credits to find out that it was this song. Even though I have the album I had no idea about it! Love it!!!

Maybe amazon or itunes have it as a stand alone song. If not, just pirate it and used the money towards getting more merch from their official store.

This is one of the greatest RA songs I know, no joke. At least the best on Appeal to Reason, MAYBe in the top 3 (still on the album). SUCH a good song! It has a Sufferer/Witness feel to it as well.

@TheSatanicSmurf I just searched the name of the song, Historia Calamitatum is the latin title of an autobiography written by a french philosopher in the 12th century. The title means History of calamities. It pertty much means that whatever happens to you, there is always someone that has it worse, and we should cheer up and rebuild whatever got torn down or taken away.

By their newer stuff I was referring to their new single, well actually its a few months old, "Gramatizator" which really sounds like Unraveling and Siren Song of the Counter Culture. Any idea when they are releasing the album? But Appeal to Reason had a lot more rhythm they put out the best stuff.

@yayjay20 Actually Appeal to Reason is going back to their more pop rock roots then their past albums. Rise Against is generally a Punk Rock band and are amazing. I love these guys. This album has been said to be more pop rock then other parts. Though it's their opinion for me I think it is still kick ass.
