I can't imagine how a complete rehearsal of, say, the Ring Cycle went down, these "instructions" would drive any reasonable man nuts after an hour. Well I guess die Herren knew each other. That must be it. That, and lots of valium.

@shellmanu In the beginning it was Beethoven's Symphonie Nr. 9, III movement. And, in rehearsal, they are rehearsing Schumann's Symphonie Nr. 4
