Okay guys, I play as Dee Jay because I'm pretty good with him. I try training to learn how to do his combos so I don't have to use Lite. But I don't understand the inputs. Like for sobat carnival it's: Hold back, tap forward, [something], kick. The reason I put something is because I don't understand it. I'm having weird problems with my copy of SSFIV for the 3DS...Sometimes when I use the buttons assigned to kick (I have ALWAYS had light kick B and heavy kick A) in a special move (i.e. air hurricane kick) my character will do a medium punch instead. Also, sometimes when doing a normal Shoryuken it will perform the EX version (I know the difference and how to do each). And when using the touchscreen for LK+MK+HK (for Gouken's super fireball) it will perform his super uppercut move instead. Help!

You can always disable the touch controls for real pros. They just made it so that even newcomers can play :) Oh and if you're fighting online you can specify it so that you can only fight players with disabled touch controls as well.

I love this game except for... The controls are good but forget the dpad when things get sweaty during an online fight unless you want your thumb slipping off every 5 seconds, and the joystick has a habit of not doing what you would expect it to, like trying to crouch id often just end up walking backwords, plus lag online everynow and then just ruins a fight completely, I use pro controls by the way and i hate coming up against some utter twat using easy controls, i hate it with a passion.

I find it easier to use the D-Pad to pull off Super and Ultra combos, and I use the circle pad to dodge, block, and jump around. It's all really just intelligently set up, especially the fact that you can change around the face button controls. I have no problem getting into the game's controls.

This is a classic franchise but only a niche group of hardcore gamers buy it. And they'll buy it anyway regardless. I for one am looking forward to this game. I just recently got Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 for my xbox 360 and while I've never really owned a competitive fighter before, I'm starting to learn the combos and the fighting methods and terminology. Street fighter is much like it from my experience with it. What I will probably do is start in easy mode so I can enjoy the game without getting too frustrated, and practice until I can be good enough to comfortably use pro mode.
