Great video--I want to check my reel to see if it has those bearings or bushings in it. Only one thing--you might have gotten hosed on the ABEC9s those are VERY hard to get(really only military and NASA use them) plus they cost a buttload. Have you ever tried ceramic bearings and if you did what did you think?

I have an Abu Garcia Ambassaduer 5000C from 96 or 97 (don´t remember), I have never needed to clean it or even adjust anything on it since I bought it and it works like a charm still ;-)...... I only use ABU gear :-) .....well perhaps I am not unbiased since im a swede :-).

Right on, i put some Orange Seal 7's in my CS Rocket this morning, it has all the upgrades in it but the Carbontex Drag Washers (which i have but need to install)... I did notice the 7's are a bit noisier than my stock bearings but heard that noise will go away after break in..
that aint no c4. c4s dont have spool bushings. i have five or six of them and they dont have bushings. neither do c3s or c5s. i got a bunch of those too, homie. If he adds the bearing levelwind then its a c4 and if he adds a dual bearing levelind its a c5. That reel has some weird stuff going like that funky black on the inside spool. A c3 is a 5500 a c4 is a 5600. 5000s are the cheapos, but still buildable. I guess i better make a video soon.
you should install the 2 bearing level wind and the idler gear with the bearing. you will get even more speed out of that reel. also, you should check out boca bearings orange seal abec 7 ceramic hybrids, they are freakin amazing!!

The Double Bearing Worm Kit is definitely worth the upgrade... The Cog or Idler Gear Upgrade you won't notice to much as far as performance goes... But it will make it smoother. Anytime you can add bearings to a moving part, it's going to make it smoother...
The kits are pretty cheap, i think like $37.00 with the Ceramic Pawl? I have about 3 extra kits laying around here... What kind of reel you trying to put it in?
ABEC9 in a reel? For you, feel free, but for me, 3's plenty close enough.
What are you paying for your 9's in your marketplace? In mine, they are 30.00 each, and there's no way I'll put 60.00 worth of bearings in a 40.00 reel.

what do u mean by the claw? one thing u can do is take the brakes out but i have a 6600 and they are pretty much the same model and mine are not as easy to take off. if u have a little bit of a thicker reel grease u could grease your gears that always helps.
except most already have bearings not bushings. if you really want to bomb get ceramic bearings, bearing idler gear, and dual bearing levelwind. better yet start with a c5 from cabelas, add the idler gear and ceramic bearings. it already has the dual bearing levelwind plus a very nice carbon drag. they are always on sale and you should be able to build one for under 100. mikes reel repair has all the parts, my abu has zero bushings

Well there not made for Ambasadauer reels,But are the same size and fit just like a the ones that came in it but better.Try your local shop see what they got or any bearing shop all they have to do is be the same size/fit and they work for any reels you whould that got bearings.

to much oil is a bad thing if you can see it in or on the reel wipe it off your reel should do fine with just a tiny tiny drop
