why do people who do exhaust videos always put the camera on the floor directly behind the exhaust. they should put it farther back about 10ft or so towards the side to get a better idea of what it sounds like in person

Hey guys out there who know about V6 mustang, i got a V6 98 Stang im gonna new to the whole sound thing i want my stang to sound like a beast kinda like a gt or louder but how can i do this? so far i got 1 exhaust pipe with super 44 flowmaster muffler and it sounds nice but the sounds too low.. i want a beast! what can i do to make it sound Aggressive? would me taking off the mufflers make it sound louder?

@DarkFalconZXi if you want it to sound nasty like s V8 then get Mac long tube headers with the Mac off road H-Pipe with flowmaster 40 mufflers and trust me it sounds like a beast!!!

You really can't get a V8 sound out of a V6, but if I were to suggest something, I'd suggest:

Magnaflow exhaust,

High Flow Cats

Long headers

H pipe

the H pipe gives the choppy muscley sound, the magnaflows are loud, the long headers give a deeper pitch and a cooler overall sound and highflow cats make it louder and more aggresive

You'll notice a bit more pep in takeing off since the gases move faster. You'll get better mpg as well. Best thing to do with the mustang v6s is get a cold air intake that the filter is in the wheel well (not the K&N bullshit) and have the cats removed and then a couple performence mufflers. It really ups in power. I did that to my 04 v6 stang and it was pretty fuckin quick for a 6

what does you whole exhaust consist of, like what all have you done to it, because it sounds like a gt at startup and idle buti would hate that raspy sound, so just put a hf resonator to avoid that

Just have the two big cats in the middle of the Y pipe removed. my setup was that so it wasn't an actuall "off road" h pipe. Didn't pop at all really.

When you hit around 2500-3000rpms does it sounds raspy or do you just lose that throaty sound? What else have you done to it? I am looking at o/r H-pipe, duals, headers, and intake at the moment/.

Ya it looses that throaty sound. It sucks. it sounds like a ricer haha. I also have 4.10 gears and tlok. you will see a difference in your car with those additions

I've heard it in person. Sounds awesome. Louder than my stock GT sound. Kinda loses it around 3k or so, though.

The only thing I do not like at around 2.5RPMs I lose the throaty sound. Other then that I love it. Its louder then a stock GT exhaust!

Does Louder, means Better? does the engine give you a better response, do you have any kind of problem with it, Cops dont pull you over? how do you get inspections done? any reason not to do it?

It is A LOT louder, thats how I got the more of a throaty feeling. I feel s slight better response. I dont have a problem except at higher RPMs it loses the "cool" sound. Cops dont bother me. I have to somehow get it inspected in January

Louder doesnt mean everything when i got my stang some retard took off the muffler system and had straight outs, and it was really loud it would ground out my brothers Trans Am but it sounded like $hiz. Its that throaty sound we want our cars to sound like. But now i have 40 series with an X-pipe and no cats, it sounds good and throaty until u get to about 3rpm
