The ones who were foreclosed lost their investment and credit rating.

But the owners, whoever they are, were reimbursed for their worthless mortgage loan.

Fred and Fannie are not free market corporations, they are gov. chartered and run by gov. appointees. Clinton appointees (Raines, Johnson (was a Obama adviser), Gorelick, and others)overstated earnings to trigger bonuses that totaled over $245 in five years. Their salaries, gold parachutes, and other perks are above and beyond any other corporation.

Enron overstated earnings by $550 Million, these guys overstated by $11 Billion!

Not all of a previous presidents appointees are replaced, many stay. Bush didn't replace enough of Clinton's goons, which is another failure for Bush, but they are Clintons goons and not much can be said against that.
