J'ai franchement du mal à comprendre l'interêt de ce type de spectacle où tout était truqué comme dans le catch. Il s'agit finalement d'un simple spectacle de cascadeuses où l'on ne s'interesse jamais au score: les joueuses cherchent davantage à se fritter qu'a marquer des points...ca devient enmerdant au bout de 30".

Rien a voir avec les nouvelles règles qui ont vraiment transformé ces shows en un véritable sport.

It looks like at :41 those 2 punches connected for real, whether accidental or not, and then off came the skates which means that it's a real fight - no kayfabe. Wouldn't want to tangle with Judy Sowinski - then or now!

Does anyone remember Judy Sowinski skating with the Thunderbirds? She was my All-Time Favorite T-Bird! I loved her more than Randi Whitman, Debbie Garvey, or Darlene Langlois de la Chappelle. I loved "Tough Women", and Judy Sowinski was that! Got out of line, Judy Sowinski made you "Pay the price"!

This clip is from the outlaw Roller Derby Games promotion, run by Pete Kelly and Rose Patterson. The original Roller Derby shut down ops in December '73, although the Seltzer family reportedly forced RDG out of biz over trademark infringement; this was a Roller Games clone, after all!
