The media, bureaucrats and politicians are the ones driving the ideology, a serious threat to real scientific study.

I'm not sure what you're trying to argue here, but yes, there is empirical evidence that CO2 traps heat, and by comparing satellite readings of outgoing radiation in 1970 to those made in 1997 through 2006, we have direct empirical evidence for a significant increase in Earth's greenhouse effect. America has developed a method of extracting natural gas from shale that allows tapping into previously inaccessible areas that has piqued the interest of Italy and Norway, as they wish to become less independent of Russia for natural gas. We currently have a glut of natural gas and energy companies are exploring in Europe where gas prices are much higher and there are large shale fields close to large cities. Looks like the market is working well for them.

I have looked up wind/solar and while they have a future it isn't going to fullfill all our needs.
