I can see why the British PM wanted FDR to view this film. It illustrates exactly why the French and British troops were hard pressed to fight back against the Nazi threat. As Malton said in his opening narrative, it was this film that helped FDR to better understand and see a need for a better air strategy in the war.
Has anyone noticed that on 0:18 the roundel is british (WW1 style - outer ring blue, center circle red), but once the biplane explodes it changes to the French "Armee de l' air" roundel (outer ring red, center circle blue) :)
This film also illustrated how a properly designed plane could be a major factor in the war against the Nazi threat.
