  • Being from Zeeland Michigan, which is right next to Holland, Tulip Time is simply a time of year that we celebrate our Dutch Heritage. If you live in Holland, this really shouldn't offend you. Like it or not, Dutch Americans are very proud of our roots.

  • Type "klompendans" the Dutch folks that saying its not a tradition anymore are usually from the west part off Holland. There are more formers there then Dutch people anyway, they should make a border between the west and the rest of the country.

  • Go to North, south or eastern Holland and u will see many 'holidays where people are clog dancing, i live in the east and as a construction worker i wear them to. So is my boss and many others it normal to wear them here.

  • Nog nooooooit een boer zo zien dansen, hoe diep kun je zinken om zo een traditie naar de kloten te helpen !!!

  • in the states they don't have the history on our country that i have had, and i have never seen clog dancing untill now. i walk on those shoes day and night. and the only thing i do when i am dancing is Høken on a song of Normaal, or Jovink en de Voederbietels. The farmer music, and since i am a farmer it suites me just fine, and the clogs also. Moi eem mienjong

  • Thank You!

  • It s nice to see that the people in the USA keep up their Dutch tradition. Even so it is not exactly how it use to be. Nothing wrong with that.

You don't see this in Holland anymore ? Maybe you see more Morokaan or Turkisch dancing.
