@honzijk The greeen BDU's (with the black undershirt) are being phased out for the newer ABU's (tan undershirt). ABU's started getting issued for the class of 2012, meaning that 2010 and 2011 still have BDU's, and 2012, 2013, and 2014 have ABU's. The BDU's themselves do not mean higher rank, but at USAFA you can correlate BDU's with higher rank because only upperclassmen have them while the lower classes do not, and a class always outrank the classes below it.

@honzijk Yes, absolutely. We have a wing commander which is in charge of all 4000+ cadets, 4 group commanders which are in charge of 1000+ cadets, 40 squadron commanders which are in charge of roughly 110 cadets, 3 flight commanders per squadron in charge of roughly 30 cadets, 3 element leaders per flight which are in charge of 8-10 usually. The cadet wing is the whole cadet body, and are broken up into the sections and sub-sections I described. Group, squadron, flight, element. Hope that helps.
