Nor do I want everyone else to hate him. He is a good drummer but there are plenty people just in the town that I live in who are much better than him. This is why I get mad when so many people worship him. there are so many drummers out there who deserve the attention more than him.

I am not blaming Travis. I have no problem with him as he is an alright drummer and probably a nice guy. I am blaming his rabid fans who worship his mediocrity. Also, what do you mean by unique style? There are drummers out there who are a million times more original in their playing. (Danny Carey, Airto Moreira, Antonio Sanchez, Keith Moon in his day, Brann Dailor, Blake Richardson, the list goes on) Also, if by original you mean his movements, there are a bunch of drummers who do that too.

I've just got to say, the whole point of being able to give comments on videos, is so people can share their opinions. he is shit, why does everyone think he's so amazing at drums. all he does is hit them so fucking hard and fast. Drums arent just about speed and loud playing, in fact most of making the drums sound good is about using dynamic. Exploring the volume and sounds of the kit, playing loud AND soft. sure he can pull off a simple fill, but hes NOTHING special.
