Yea, I say unto you come and fear not, and lay aside every sin, which easily doth beset you, which doth bind you down to destruction, yea, come and go forth, and show unto your God that ye are willing to repent of your sins and enter into a covenant with him to keep his commandments, and witness it unto him this day by going into the waters of baptism. (Book of Mormon, Alma 7:15)
Thats right. Born of water (Baptism) and Born of the Spirit (Receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost).
Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Now I say unto you that ye must repent, and be born again; for the Spirit saith if ye are not born again ye cannot inherit the kingdom of heaven; therefore come and be baptized unto repentance, that ye may be washed from your sins, that ye may have faith on the Lamb of God, who taketh away the sins of the world, who is mighty to save and to cleanse from all unrighteousness. (Book of Mormon, Alma 7:14)
This makes me sad. I was a born again christian before I discovered the Lords true church. Im sure these are good, well intentioned people but If you truly love the Lord Jesus Christ and want to serve him then join his church - the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. God Bless.
Christians don't fret about having every inch of skin be under the water like Mormons do. They don't do rebaptisms if a hand or foot isn't under the water either. It's to represent what Christ has already done, not what man is doing. Thanks for asking.
I think its important that we do what Christ directs us to do. 'Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life' (Romans 6:4) Surely if we are following what Christ did we can take the time and care to do it properly. 'If ye love me, keep my ccommandments' (John 14:15)
Thank you and that's great to hear. That's the worst thing that can happen is for people to leave the Mormon Church and leave Jesus behind as well. My prayer is for everyone to reject false teachings and false religion but not Jesus Christ.
damn mormons, It's a kiddie pool filled with water. Fuck Sandy, The worst town in Utah.

John 3:5
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Under what authority do these people baptize?
ScottsdaleStylee 3 years ago
By their own account.
They forgot to read Hebrews 5:4 and realize that you must be called of God by revelation and be ordained to the priesthood under direction from God.

I am not Mormon but I thought when your baptized your whole body is suppose to go under. How come their arm and hand do not go under the water?

From McCraney's site (as of 6.30.2008):
"Born-Again Mormons believe in actively supporting the LDS Church in an effort to bring other members to the Lord..."
This reasoning =
Born-Again Drunkards believe in actively supporting drunkenness in an effort to bring other drunkards to the Lord.
QUESTION; What part of II Corinthians 6:14-17 don't you get ?
How do you explain it ?
Why do you so brazenly ignore this passage ?
No one is evangelized by INTEGRATION but by biblical separation.

This was really nice, thank you. I left the church recently and have remained a true believer in Christ.
