Sorry SlayerRules66 but it's very safe to say that Stryper bows to no man and never will. Tremendous album. Lots of screaming and scorching solos combined with excellent harmonies. All the songs are very cool and most of them caught me off guard either, with me staring at the stereo in awe or, especially with their ballads, nodding in my 'that was really good' way. Strong effort Stryper! Our applause shows in your sales increasing.

Stryper brought something new to Heavy Metal, God. No group has done that as well as Stryper.
This is all of their albums rolled into one (I don't count ATL, BTW). KInda raw like Y&BA, catchy hooks like Soldiers, harmonies like IGWT and that hard sound from Reborn. It's definitely on my bucket list.
strypre's new album kinda loses steam on its second half, but the first half is quite amazing, just what I wanted to hear. not a full-blown stryper album? ok. a disappointment? not quite so. solid tunes, some boring tunes, who cares? this is no Soldiers Under Command, but I'm glad the heroes of my teenage years, or at least Mike & Oz, are still alive and making music. Yeah!
Folks please show stryper your support by buying the music, even if just a few tunes from Apple. Michael's family and all the guys will appreciate the support!

Maybe that God is the "murder by pride" who takes away our pride so we can be honest and humble. And to show Him and others our real identity. Pride can be like a mask or disguise that we have, and God wants to take that away (murder it) :P Thats my theory :)

Saw them last night at "Life Fest" in Raleigh. I got one of their bibles thrown to me, even though I probably won't read it it's still a cool thing to be able to say I have one. When they started playing the intro riff to this song I though I was going to die of being around such pure awesomeness.

Sorry SlayerRules66 but it's very safe to say that Stryper bows to no man and never will. Tremendous album. Lots of screaming and scorching solos combined with excellent harmonies. All the songs are very cool and most of them caught me off guard either, with me staring at the stereo in awe or, especially with their ballads, nodding in my 'that was really good' way. Strong effort Stryper! Our applause shows in your sales increasing.

Yes Stryper are fakes. As "Oz" named himself after Mr. Osbourne and let's not forget the all so famous "Heaven and Hell" tour when Stryper toured with W.A.S.P . Oh yeah Vito Bratta of Whtie Lion did an article where he claimed after a Stryper/White Lion show Robert got so tanked he could not walk. Buy Slayer's new release "World Painted Blood" this summer and as the famous slayer lyrics go "Learn the Sacred Words of Praise, HAIL Satan".

Indeed. Compare an Oz Fox solo to a Kerry King solo. One has talent, one has too much whammy. Compare Michael's voice to Tom Ayara's (I think that's right), Michael blows him away. But Dave Lombardo is actually a good drummer, so is Robert. Plus their lyrics aren't all "Hail Satan."

@InAGaddaDaVida29 Oz Fox's solo in this song is terrible! Not sure why he went for this. I'm not a big fan of Stryper but his stuff in the 80s was technically really good. Maybe he's lost his speed? Dave Mustaine rules - his riffs are incredible. Solo wise, none of them can touch John Petrucci (whether or not you think Dream Theater are real metal or not!)

Even the Devil "believes" in God. The lack of relationship and commitment to Jesus is evident in the lyrical content of Araya's writings. I don't think Stryper's goal is to kill off anything. Slayer is far more popular and if anything, it's the other way around.

wasp and stryper never toured together. u are referring to a hit parader magazine cover , it had nothing to do with an actual tour....wasp toured with the following bands in the 80's - Metallica, Armored St, Iron Maiden, Kiss, Raven, Slayer, Malice, Accept, Metal Church and Black Sabbath when it was just Tony Iommi.
Stryper did tours with Hurricane, TNT, Loudness, Jetboy, Rough Cutt, Ratt, Vixen in the 80's.

Prove that Christ didn't exist. No other figure in history is covered more, both in Christian and Traditional historical text. Yes, it was written in a book, but so was all the other history we read. So that never happened either? Your point? Look its easy to live against God's rule, no discipline involved what so ever. Music wise, Slayer lakes musical direction. Stryper brought something new to Heavy Metal, God. No group has done that as well as Stryper.

strypre's new album kinda loses steam on its second half, but the first half is quite amazing, just what I wanted to hear. not a full-blown stryper album? ok. a disappointment? not quite so. solid tunes, some boring tunes, who cares? this is no Soldiers Under Command, but I'm glad the heroes of my teenage years, or at least Mike & Oz, are still alive and making music. Yeah!
