@mkrsk Ha! I bet you never were in Slovakia and you cant even locate it on a map! Your stupid joke doesnt insult me , it just gives me a reason to laugh from your patheticness
@Filo127 Anyone can in ireland and the uk can locate slovakia on a map.And the dude who insulted you is kinda right.Slovakia just showed they have a idiotic secuirity force that needs to be revamped and reviewed because this is unacceptable behavior.
So is a logical fallacy all that it takes to make you satisfied, my fellow Slovak citizen? It's happened before, let's have a blast, let's do it again. Well, by that logic, why not drop a couple of nuclear bombs? Shit, it's happened once already, it's perfectly alright to do it again. Now, that would be a blast, both literally and figuratively.
yeah, sure, but you wouldn't believe how dumb some people ( most of the people as we can see in election results ) are - they don't see stuff like this, especially the ones with low education...they just see, you know, money given by government etc.
Welcome to airport security - we are "tired of having some guy with a double-digit IQ and a triple-digit income rooting around in my bag and never finding anything... there are no bombs - the whole thing is fucking pointless" it's the airport security that is doing the most damage to our lives
when the slovaks couldnt find the 9th bomb, they should have delayed the plane until they could reconfiscate the explosives.
also, when the danube wings pilot was contaced DURING FLIGHT that the man unsuspectingly had explosives in his bag, he should have told the passenger & confiscated the explosives HIMSELF, instead of flying all the way to ireland AND letting the passenger off the plane w/ the explosives and W/O TELLING THE PASSENGER.
..well..what to add..it is a shame of course..our police looks like a bunch of ignorants..this is not just fault of 1 person, there should be meassures that would prevent such things from happening..e.g. someone should make sure the amount of explosives before the action equals the amount after the action..
The same goes for America BTW, they have a small history, but filled embarrassing blunders and corruption. My point is, i wont accept any comments from "superior" western states posted here, being mean and making fun. Yes it is embarrassing mistake, but no worse than ones made elsewhere. I lived here 3 yrs, had some bad experiences but mostly good. Im proud to have great Slovak friends and call this beautiful country my home. Thanks for having me guys, and my weird British sense of humor!
@W: i think the criticism is more geared towards BASIC MISTAKES such as: using real explosives; putting them in unsuspecting passengers' bags; not delaying the plane when they couldnt find the 9th explosive; not forcing the pilot back to slovakia; not having the pilot confiscate it from the passenger during & after flight; not telling the passenger until the next day; not telling the irish auth.s until two days later. it was like the slovaks thought maybe this guy would just dump it in silence.
The reality is that dogs found all the explosives but policeman forgot to take it out of the luggage when he was rewarding dog with a playing ball. But yeah - our police is often unprofessional
@elgiganto Yes they are. But In Slovakia, your most important functions are the lowest paid. Police, Doctors, Teachers - all earn miserable salary, but I fly back to UK each time for shopping, because prices for clothes etc here are 50% more than UK, approx. Thats not exaggeration - its fact. These core jobs need much higher salary to attract good people, and eliminate corruption. In UK, these functions have really good salary + conditions, and still we want better for them all the time.
True. Systematical change is needed. As these things are happening my pride on this country is reduced only on it´s beauty..nothing more..pretty sceptical and pessimistic but it seems I have no choice..hopefully people will wake up in june and go for vote..
@ibnfahlan Well said! Slovaks have much to be proud of. But the revolution has provided only half the freedom you need. People here need to be more outspoken about the problems without fear of reprisals. At the very least, everyone needs to go to the poles in june and VOTE FOR SOMEONE ELSE! this government is the only thing standing in the way of progress - even EU entry was obtained through work of previous government...
Dear friend, all you have said about way how to control administration is true. But Czech and Slovak republics are heir of very sad event which made this two states completely passive in terms of politics. It was august 1968, people were prepared to fought against Soviets even with a lot of victims, but politicians betrayed us. From this time any politcian in these two countries is found as a potentional lier and thief and so more than 50% of people feels to be completely disguisted by politics
but this is probably a second phase of capitalistic state developement..When I was in Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania or Croatia I saw the first one (mafia in streets or rulling the state, cars destroyed by bombs etc.)..Hopefully this pot is melting quite a lot now to create a massive protests..Because people are becomming excesivelly angry from day to day more..
openness is what is missing hier in SK, and many many old people voting for dumbs:)) know my grandma, she would vote for this gov again, becasue mr fico rasie her pension by lets say 6 percent and that is only she sees, not those scandals and incapability lead a country... blindness. hope other younger clever generations will bring changes...
im A brit living in MA in Slovakia for the last 3 years. The people of this country are generally some of the nicest and smartest people you could meet, but this government is absolutely shocking - no one would believe me if i told them - Corruption is EVERYDAY thing especially with police, and this is just the tip of the Iceberg! Slovaks - dont be ashamed! we have a government full of cretins in the UK too! thats why i live here. In the end, its clear the police officers need training not dogs.
Thank you, you are very kind. But in any country the government fuck it up, the one who is harmed is only citizen. And this fucking socs ruined alreday reputation of this country pretty deeply. And the new year is like a disaster for us: first skytoll motorway pay complete chaos and now this!
@ibnfahlan u r welcome - and really, its true. in the UK, our top head of justice in government made a ruling that companies found employing illegal immigrants will get huge fine - then she was found herself employing an illegal immigrant as a cleaner! Then, after some back room deals, we suddenly released a mass murderer from jail back to lybia without any explanation (lockerbie plane bomber). Then, all our MP's were caught cheating their expenses. Labour party are communists. Full Stop.
What about thinking now about demission Mr. Kalinak and Packa? To show at least balls! This fucking socs government only ruins the reputation of the country. Ridiculous approach and mistake!
what NBC reporter is saying is only half of true, information based on 1 unreliable source-only 2 packages were in test, pilot of the plane agreed to fly with harmless sample, Dublin airport was informed immediately and they were trying to find in unsuccesfully (passengers got their package 1 hour after arrival), Irish police was informed that guy is innoncent in advancre, the guy was informed to his mobile phone by slovak police etc,
3 days delay was time to find the identity of the guy.
but the saddest thing is that all of the slovak offitials responsible for this event will apologize (if at all) and thats it... no abdications or personal punishments/consequences. moreover, everything will be paid by our taxes...
Poor guy an ordinary citizen who was travelling back to Dublin - he could have been shot by the swat team. I dont think i will ever use slovak airports.
What did we Slovak police comb the ordinary citizen is a huge scandal at the international level.
Slovak police wanted to check security from terrorists, but in doing so
use plain Slovak citizen who knew nothing about.
I apologize to you all on behalf of the Slovak citizens.
In our country will bear the scandal of the criminal consequences of individual policemen and their superiors, and a similar incident will never be repeated.
