I'm sorry, but this "pickup" is an insult to Dime's memory and legacy. If you want a kickass bridge pickup, use a Duncan Dimebucker. If you want Dime's neck pickup, use a Bill Lawrence XL500.

I was greatly influenced by Dime, his music, and his mastery of metal, and this pickup supposedly named after him is the equivalent of S****ing on Dime's work. I'm sorry, but Dean really needs to stop making pickups.

Why does everyone think this is suposed to replace the dimebucker. It's not. It's just an addition to it. They already produce dime's signature bridge pickup but from what i recall not a nck pickup. And no if you guys think dimes sound was chugging riffs it does not sound like it because paul riario is predominatly useing the neck which dime used more for soloing instead of riffing.

And yes, DeathPenguin, Seymour Duncan made Dime his own pickup, the Dimebucker when he was alive. They started those when he was with Washburn. They're modeled after the Bill Lawrence L-500XL, which is what Dime had in his old Dean's, and his first Washburn's. It's an amazing pickup for about 1/2 the price of a Duncan Dimebucker.

I totally agree w/ dbenc. They have made SO many worthless Dean Dime ML's since his passing. Problem is, almost ALL of them are pieces of crap made in China or Korea, even the ones with the nice paint jobs, like the "Cemetery Gates" Razorback. You're going to pay over $1,000 for a paint job and a guitar with inferior electronics and workmanship. Good luck finding a USA Dime for less than $3,000! Let's keep his memory alive as one the greatest metal guitarists ever, not some corporate sell-out!

I disagree. Dean is a company. Their sole purpose is to make money. Putting a dead guitarist's name on something is not keeping him "in the scene", it's a way to get them richer.
