There's an epic version of Neil with Phish doing Down By the River- 19mins!!! I saw him in 82 here in Cleveland his - Solo Tour. This song is so great- Neil rocks. If you could listen to Neil and all of his "projects" or bands he was in for a whole day it would be, well it would be the best day ever!

Neil Young plays guitar as if he's never heard anyone else play guitar. There's really nothing else like it. Some people can't stand it; others appreciate his apparently chaotic brilliance. For those familiar with the album version of this song, this version demonstrates that Young was not simply attacking the guitar almost randomly--no matter how much he may appear to be going through an uncontrolled and extended grand mal seizure. This is simply guitar from another planet--like no one else.
