you didn't need to. The trailer attaches too far back, and that's upsetting the handling.

In a truck trailer combination, the traier hitch above the truck's rear wheels does more than just shorten the rig. In a corner, it effectivly puts the load between the front and rear wheels of the tractor, and on the 'inside' of the corner too; also some fifth wheels are angled slightly, stopping the tractor from getting body-roll.

That's how we get to go so quick on the freeways!
