the climb up and the first down are the worst parts of the ride, if you can get througn that youre okay :) its pretty fun, but a little scary for me cause im terrified of heights

@knexbox360 yeah i know top thrill dragster is 40 mph faster, BUT phantoms revenge is in the top 10 fastest in the world with 85mph!

@joeshmsI know it is in top 10 but it is slow. you only feel the 80 mile per hour winds for about 1 second and on ttd ( Top Thrill Dragster ) you feel 120 mph wind speeds twice for about 4-6 seconds each. the height on the phantom is 160 feet and ttd is 420 feet tall.

@joeshms I know you are probably thinking that the longest drop on the phantom is 232 feet but because it is on a ravine you are only 115 feet up. On ttd you are 420 feet up. I've rode the phantom in every seat, I know what i am talking about.

i was scared my first time then my friend told me it wasn't scary then as soon as we started going up the first hill and he told me it was scary as fuck just to mess with me but it was fine every time i go there now i ride the front seat every time it's really not scary besides the first hill i also rode it when it was raining and that shit doea not feel good going 80 mph getting hit by rain

well to be honest its really not that scary, its all the thrill you build up when ur going up the hill, cuz you know its coming but it gets you pumped. when my friend dragged me on it, i was shaking, but after you go down the first hill, its not bad, just the second hill makes your stomach drop. The bunny hills at the end are my favorite tho, makes me feel like im on a steel jack rabbit.

i feel the same way! i rode it last year. it was the first time. my friend dragged me into the first car. as we were going up the hill, it started raining. i think i'm gonna do it again this year though. i need to get over my fear. the first hill isnt bad at all. i closed my eyes on the second. hahahha :D good luck!

You sound a lot like me, well to be honest its not scary at all its loads of fun!! For example, I was scared out of my mind to ride The Thunderbolt, but after my bff took me on i realized how much fun it was and now its one of my favorite coasters. The Phantom is amazing!! You will love it afterwards. I was scared out of my mind on the second drop but it was really fun. If you are scared of hights i reccomend not looking down lol but u will ♥ this coaster!!! GOOD LUCK! and have funn! =)

From what I understand, they just replaced the older parts of the track that were from the original Steel Phantom, before they redid it and turned it into the Phantom's Revenge. They did reduce how quickly the track levels out at the bottom of the first hill, but from what I hear it's hardly a noticeable change.

We were just at CP a few weeks ago, and Maverick is the ride that you would be more scared to ride. That one was the best ride at CP and we loved it. Millenium was good for sure, but Maverick is the one that really makes me want to go back to CP. 95 degree drop. It was awesome. I still like the Phantom, but I can see how tame it is, relatively speaking, now.

@shawn939 unless you are afraid of heights, like I. The Maverick was the first thing I rode at Cedar Point, and I'd ride it 20 times in a row if I had the chance, its not scary to me. The Phantom is just more tantalizing, with its tallness.
