I was born in the USSR. When I watched the movie for the first time, it made me feel so good :) Because all the Russian women I've met in America speak with the same "Max" accent! And those Russian men with their look and musical instruments are fantabulous. But that convo when the waiter asks her to go to the kitchen is the best!!!

well, guess what? i am armenian and my whole family can speak both languages. i am pretty fluent in russian. and she does bring the general accent. maybe at the end when she's saying DO SVEDANYA she doesnt have the right accent, but how good CAN she be?

If u are Armenian then u know whats the difference between Armenian t in the word "tankagin" and the Russian t in the word "tovarishch". Armenians pronounced that t which is the same as in the word tomorrow. The Russians can not pronounce that t. nevertheless Sigourney pronounced that t in the word tomorrow very clearly which is the Russian way. Also u know that Armenians have h while Russians do not and they pronounce h like X or Kh. In the expression "how liky you are: S. W didnt say Xow lucky

The Russian accent consists of those "little details". If you dont work on those details you can not get Russian accent. If you really want to hear Russian accent somehow close to the real one type "Adventures of sexy john McCaine series" part one. Some of those girls give good examples of Russian accent. Especially in the sentences " Welcome to hanoi Hilton" or "Get ready girls"!

thank you of course, but i dont need that. i perfectly well know what russian accent sounds like. what i am saying is she cant be perfect. the amount of accent shes putting there is good enough. as for do svidanya you say it sounds natural. when do you hear a russian speaker say do svEdanya, especially putting the stress on DO?
