I got one to give to my sister, but I had to "test" it out on my parents first. I put it on the REALLY high pitched setting and hid it, to my disappointment "more aged" ears can't always hear it and my parents were wondering why I kept snickering. I had to finally put it really close to them for them to hear it. They aren't deaf it's just many people in their mid 50's+ can't hear the frequency as well. Oh well, I can still annoy my students :)

I've only had it found once by one of my... eh hem... Former friends... He actually tried to steal it once he ended up finding it under a table I placed it under. Luckily, someone told me he had it and I got it back. Make sure you get in a very safe spot before you leave it there for several hours or finders keepers rule applies.

I desoldered the magnet from it, and hid it inside my friend's computer case. He being tech savvy, it drove him up the wall not being able to find out why his computer was beeping at him. The give away was when it continued to beep after he unplugged it. :)
