It was wonderful to see Caine and Woody Allen and Dianne Weisst get their due for the wonderful "Hannah and Her Sisters". Then, see Oliver Stone get Director, and "Platoon" Best Picture. That was a year overall I was very happy with the outcome of the Oscars. Oh, and Paul Newman finally got his Oscar that night,too, after EIGHT nominations over theyears, with no wins, he finally got his that night. 'Twas a lovely night!

Sigourney Weaver worked with Caine in 'Half Moon Street' - very underrated picture. Man, she looks so beautiful here! She's still beautiful, naturally. Michael Caine gave a wonderful performance that year; Dennis Hopper, though - that was an all-time classic performance in 'Hoosiers', one of the finest character parts ever.
