This game reminds me of the Family Feud game for the Wii.

The biggest strikes against this game are the terrible AI and the fact that the "prize" spaces are always a trip and always the same value, $3k in round 1, $4k in round 2.

A Press Your Luck game has SOOO much potential, even on a low budget. The lack of the actual game show music is disappointing, the board cycles too a bit too slow, the buzz action seems a bit off. And like the review said, there's not much incentive to keep playing it.

I purchased the game on PC and have played several online editions.

The bad part of the online editions are the whammies which are usually audio clips with no video or animation.

The bad part of these versions are the lack of prize variety. Who was a fan of the show and doesn't remember the home robot or the flokati rug? Winning a trip as the only prize sucks.

Like you, I am a huge PYL fan. I have over 400 shows on DVD and all I have to say is that this video game is an insult to the series. Couldn't the creators of the game spend more time on the board design? The prize squares are completely pitiful. I won a trip worth $3,500? A trip to WHERE?! Hell? It's almost a perfect remake of the 80s classic. Instead of using the theme music that was around for most of the show's life, they went with the seldom heard music from PYL's pilot episode. To get everything else right, but this one thing wrong takes the wind out of my sails, just a little bit.
