  • Piper's Pit was great! 1 of the coolest features in the WWF. I always like Piper. So arrogant, cocky, & funny etc. Surprisingly, I actually thought he did a really decent job of acting in the sci-fi/horror cult movie "They Live" (1988). I would have liked to see him given a chance in other movies. And what can you say about Andre? He's the greatest. I wish he he had also been in more movies too. He was unforgettable in "The Prince's Bride". He really stole the movie.

  • The freeze at the end. LMAO! LMAO!

  • holy crap Andre was strong as hell

  • Back when heels werent all cowards

  • Piper should had his own talk show, its GOLD! Too bad there is no show like this on TV.

  • Live I saw Andre pick up Bill Watts just like he did Piper, and Watts weighed about 300 pounds.

  • @ 1:28 its that intimidated shallow look that short people give you when a giant grabs them by the scruff of their neck after being tired of their short man syndrome bullshit!

  • If WWF were smart this could've turned into one Hell of a fued.

  • Andre hated John Studd in real life.

  • Andre had dicks for fingers lmao

  • @SAMMARTINO68 Yeah, they were probably larger than most guys dicks too, LMAO

  • piper was the best. his character never backed down. not even from Andre the Giant

  • when was it?

  • HOLY SHIT!!! I can't believe he picked up Piper with one hand like that!!!! Amazing!

  • I heard stories that in real life that Andre was very quiet and very nice man. I would of liked to have met him! An amazing wrestling legend!

  • Andre was great. I hate it that he was so miseralbe.

  • Canek (the mexican wrestler) slammed Andre, Many years before Hulk Hogan did. Look for this video in youtube and you will see that.

  • You think you're tough? Come on! You ain't nothing! You ain't nothing! I'll tell you one thing right now. You want to fight, Andre? You're gona find out one thing. You do not throw rocks at a man who's got a machine gun!!!

    Wow!!! Those are balls!!!

  • Look at Roddy almost laugh at Andre's first "None of your business!" Priceless.

  • @bruce17899

Yea, people said Andre was nice and fun to be around, and he did not like trouble.

They said he was a good person and friend, and if liked you he really liked you.

But if you crossed him and made him not like you, then it was not good, because you were then on his bad side.

He was not a mean person, and he was really nice until you made him mad.

I would not want to anger the giant or be on his bad side lol.

    RIP ANDRE THE GIANT!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Andre is fibbing a little a lot of wrestlers body slammed him prior too this build up to the first wrestlemania.

  • Piper is simply one of the best heels of all time Hulkamania wouldn't have been the same with out him. Piper was so popular he was doing movies and tv shows before Hogan, CBS even gave him a variety show if you can believe it. Got to give him credit when Andre grabbed him he didn't back down one bit.

  • Wow look at Andre lift him up off the ground with one arm!

  • Lol "You think your tough" and the guy is wearing a skirt!

  • Compare andre the giant to pipers, piper like chicken

  • Piper feared no one! He was great!

  • That awkward pause at 1:30 was Piper thinking, "crap, I forgot my lines."

Andre: It's okay, Boss. I got this.

  • @snakethemack LMAO! Awesome comment!

  • RUN PIPER RUN

  • "At 520 lbs, if I'm given 5 minutes, I CAN SLAM YOU MYSELF!!". LOL

Great insult line topped off by the derogotory finger point in Andre's face.

  • Piper was more like a commentator than a wrestler, sure he was a average good wrestler but we all remember him for his sharp tongue. He never was champion because the bookers knew the belt could never reach around his mouth.

  • Imagine if Roddy interviewed the Terminator :).

  • Piper got his ass whipped by andre 2 weeks after that it was classic!.

  • my all time dream match would be

    ANDRE v BIG SHOW

  • @MrStonecold69 Id like to see that too, with Andre winning :)

  • Hahahahaha....Roddy Piper is a fucking legend OMG...

  • oh boy you didnt want to piss off Andre!

  • the one hand pick up Roddy by the scruff of shirtneck is CLASSIC!

  • Who the fuck was better than Piper? Absolutely no one....

  • For Denver Roddy Piper fans, Roddy Piper will be performing at Comedy Works downtown April 14-16!

  • @comedyworksvideo I saw his poster at Comedy works last week. What's his show? does he do StANDUP? i LOVE Piper!! Can you tell me what his show is like?

  • RIP Andre. I love the smirk on his face while Roddy's talking to him.

  • RIP Andre. I love the smirk on his face while Roddy's talking to him.

  • Calm down. He didn't stop growing until the day he died, true. But he wasn't growing "taller." He kept getting larger while his organs stayed the same size. His chest cavity became too large to sustain his heart and lungs. He stood more erect as a younger (and healthier) man.

  • I remember this from one of the WWF Coliseum Videos fro the old days...

  • "Now that you're gone I think i'll scream at ya like a tough guy." - Rowdy Roddy

  • Roddy Piper was the greatest heel of all because he was brillant and if you look back even in his early days when he first started he had a gift every Piper Pit was a classic he would get away with the most racist shit but it was so funny and made sense the Haiti Kid one is classic and when hit Snuka with a real coconut do you like bananas? he was genius and watch the Tony Atlas one too and Frank Williams (I"m from Columbus,Ohio) and Piper kicks his ass all the way off the set EPIC and CLASSIC

  • lol, roddy was the shit, perfect villain!

damn, was that mean gene okerlund at the end there? damn, its like 7th grade up in youtube tonight! (that's what happens when i watch "they live" on tv i guess.)

  • Boy Andre was a rude guy, not answering the questions.

  • @Srd1126 what do you expect,

    he's from france!

  • "THE GIANT" sure made a fool of Mr. Piper!

  • folks that is not a happy face...

  • @ladyintheradiator187 MEAN GENE

  • piper sucked andres long cock

  • Piper: i`m sorry, do you speak english? Andre, where ...do.....you....come...from?

    Andre: None of you`re business!

piper:If If the questions are too hard for you, I`ll try to bring them down a little so you can understand. I understand big body, little............ tiny weeine brain. I can understand that. Thats very simple. Pipper was the gutiest performer i ever knew. He was my alll time favorite.

  • @TheMashwatcher585

You could tell during that part, Andre wanted to crack up, you could see him smirking.

  • this is gold!

  • 0:53 WHAT THE HELL

  • hahaha...none of your buisness... when Andre said that....Piper was like...ok its on !

  • "Folks, that is not a happy face." lol

  • AT 520 POUNDS I COULD SLAM YOU MYSELF LOL..PIPER COULD NEVER!!! SLAM ANDRE

  • Piper was ahead of his time. They broke the mold when they made him. Long live hot rod!

  • i dont know why the piper puts up with that big jerk

  • Roddy Piper was the greatest villain in WWF!!

I loved to hate him back then and now I miss him!!

  • lol good show.

  • Piper was fearless....

  • @Killer0fTheSun Uh, wrestling is scripted, genius.

  • @ekroz100

And so was your mother in front of 10 drunken sailors nude....

  • One of the best Piper's Pit EVER!!

"You do not throw rocks at a man with a machine gun!!"

  • @MrBlackFabio You ain't never lied....

  • heel Piper's pit was the best.

  • If the questions are too hard for your I will try and bring them down for you. I understand, big body. Small, tiny brain-priceless!

  • i have sat next to the man. he was well over 7 ft. he took 2 barstools to sit on. Biggest mother fucker ever. haqve u not seen him vs stud or hogan? they look tiny.

  • @bmannn63 Hogan was about 6'5" and Andre wasn't 7 inches taller than Hogan. I saw Abyss of TNA a while back, was maybe 6'5", MAYBE. Daniel Bryan is closer to 5'8" than 5'10", guys, no matter how big or small are typically a big smaller than billed, especially in the 80s

  • @Anglefan12 your nuts hogan is 6'5 don't talk about what you have no idea about I watched andre 4 times up in edmonton that guy was 7'4 i am six five and watched that giant walk right by me he was huge and a legend in the wrestling.

  • Damn, Andre's fist was LITERALLY the same size as Piper's head!!!

  • Oh man, the way Andre picked Roddy up was priceless.

  • you do not throw rocks at a man who's got a machine gun

  • Piper is the best...like him or not,hes probably one of the top 5 ever.

  • Andre's alchohol tolerance was legendary. A surgeon, about to do back surgery on him, needed to know how much anaesthetic to use. So he began by asking Andre how much alchohol it took to make him drunk. Andre resonded that it took a few bottles of Jim Beam to get him a "buzz." "Cheese and crackers today?" a waitress at a posh restaurant mockingly asked him one day. Andre got his revenge by ordering everything on the menu.

  • Andre in his prime had a natural kind of strength. You dind't want to mess with him.He once got annoyed at some men who were bugging him in a bar, so he went and overturned their car. He would often play pranks on his friends, while they were away from their cars. He would lift up the back end of a car and wheel it to another place in the parking lot. The owner wold think it was stolen at first.

  • @VerbalBlitzkrieg Hogan, in his recent biography, recounted a time when Andre was staying at a hotel, and could not possibly fit on the toilet in his room. So, he left huge, cow dung sized mounds of shit on newspaper all over every inch of the hotel bed.

  • @VerbalBlitzkrieg stop lie, andre has never ever flip a car over thats a myth. IN FACT, he was so weak that he couldnt even lift a 100 lbs woman

  • @xismxist yet there are pictures of him holding up normal sized human beings with one arm. Yes the car flip is a bit of a stretch, but unless you're talking about a year or so before his death, you're underestimating his strength.

  • @Whooligan86 "holding up" and LIFTING isnt the same thing! prepared pics...

  • @xismxist You don't even warrant a response but I can't resist the urge to tear into you for being such a dullard. The woman you mentioned was Robin Wright on the set of The Princess Bride. That film was shot in the last years of his life when his body was so ravaged by his disease he could barely stand. Hulk Hogan has said many times that in good health, Andre was many times stronger than him without ever even lifting weights. You know nothing. Nothing.

Shut the fuck up you fucking idiot.

  • @GaeasBlessing and so said dibiase... please wake up from your dream world. Everybody have this ridiculous worship for andre. A weak 6'9 / 450 lbs man who got away with 7'5 / 550 LMAO

  • @xismxist lol u sound like a retard lmao!

  • @GaeasBlessing a retard who can prove his claims, then... what can u prove? Andre was billed 6'10 before he came to wwf

  • @xismxist He had gigantism which meant he had a tumor in his pituitary gland that caused a massive release of growth hormone. He didn't stop growing until the day he died. L2Google.

  • @xismxist

You're so full of shit. Andre stood a legit 7'0" at his peak.. A broken down Andre was still 6'10"...

  • @Danimal77 broken down?! he was at his tallest when he died (6'9-6'10) due to his dissease just ask any doctor. when 20 years younger he was like 6'8 and he had, with his cowboyboots(!), only 14 inches on the 5'8 dynamite kid & bruce hart so he wasnt even close to any 7ft even when wearing his cowboyboots...*LOL* so i guess your the one who's full of shit. go back to your butthole and keep dreaming about wrestlers billed heights

  • piper had GUTS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • piper's pit was just badass

  • Damn..too bad the group of Mexican's that were throwing rocks at Border Patrol Agents, and in turn, a teenager was shot for it, never took this as a lesson.

  • Piper should have just kicked the old mans ass. First and only time Piper gave anyone a break. He felt sorry for Andre due to his alcoholism. Andre was drunk during this interview.

  • LMAO - He's great! And damn good looking too, love it when he rips off his shirt...OMG that body, adore him! Thanks for posting.

  • see thats piper for ya he didnt give a damn if you were 7 ft tall or 8 ft tall you wanted a fight that was exactly what you were gunna get

  • Before Stone Cold was the popular heel, there was the Hot Rod.

  • Piper at his best. No Fear. haha

  • you do not throw rocks a man whos got a machine gun!

  • what chance piper against andre, NONE

  • Try the closed caption...pretty bad lol!

  • rowdy rody piper whast a jong good guy man good guy but now his old i now wheet ho old but i fink 54 sry guys i no weet

  • Love how he picked Piper up with one hand.

  • he was just as strong as every one said he was thats what impressed me and prob stronger

  • this guy was before my time i'm from 1988 i always liked the rock and austin ,but this roddy piper he's something else i love him ;p

  • @Tetrahedron604 oh you missed out i was a ten year old in 84 and my mom took our spare room and let me turn it into a pipers pit set and i got into a fight when I wore a kilt to school. Glad to see the next generation recognizes that the rock and austin got the strong parts of their act from the one and only roddy piper. He is a legend here in the northwest, oregon, washington and british columbia where he was still a face even when he was hated by the rest of the country..

  • Best of the best......

  • The world lost a treasure when Andre The Giant died. Piper was a great heel here, and he's really in shape here too.

  • Piper was an awesome heel in this segment. He didn't back away from Andre

  • @JonasDygd That's why Piper was so over back then--he didn't back down from anyone--not Hogan, not even Andre here, just stood in their face and kept screaming insults. The crowd at first wanted to see him taken down a notch, but eventually began to respect him. Finally, the crowd started chanting his name at WM2 against Mr T, and Vince realized he had to turn him face

  • sorry Andre in his prime would kill the big show in a street fight. Paul Wight is a fat furball.

  • Andre was 6'10 when he died he lost about 2 inches after back surgery a few years earlier

  • in his verry prime he was 7 feet 1/2 inches. and that was in like 1970 but he shrinked becouse off illness and hes head and body couldn´t stop crowing so here he is probobly 6´10 inches tall

  • Are YOU telling ME...

    Great Young Frankenstein reference.

    Do Not - throw rocks!!

  • And yes big show is stronger then andre was, but in the world off wwe andre would win due to his experience.

  • This is wrestlining entertainment... the winner would come down to what the script said... actors follow scripts, this isnt mixed martial arts, its choreogrphaed scripted entertainment

  • What are you on your period now or something?

  • @Pedro2008Anton No the coroner measured Andre's body and found it exactly 7 foot.

  • @VerbalBlitzkrieg Andre was billed to 6'10 in england and france before he came to wwf so he wasnt taller than that

  • @xismxist At his peak he was 7'2 I believe. After awhile he started to shrink

  • @GLazz85 His peak was just before he died, since he continiued to grow his entire live due to his disease. He was said to be measured to 6'10 after his death so he was shorter years before that he was never close to any 7'2. i give him 6'9 tops since you will be taller when you being measured when lying down

  • @xismxist After a while only his head and I think hands and feet grew. He did shrink a little before his death because of his back surgery I believe. Look at him in Japan he is definately a lot taller. I would say he is a hair under the size of Shaq. I really doubt he was only 6'10 because thats not all that uncommon. I mean really we will never know because we cant measure him.

  • @GLazz85 i also doubt he was 6'10 becase that was his BILLED height in france and england before he came to the united states! 6'9 makes more sense

  • Piper's cool, but he'd better watch his ass with Andre, man!

  • My mom raised my sister up through this hole in the floor at some wrestling show, and she saw Andre taking a shower lol.

  • Actually it was a window my mom raised her up to, and it was the shower room window.

  • That story sounded a lot better when it was a hole in the bathroom floor.

  • how big is his stuff.

  • I dont know, i didn't ask haha.

  • Andre "The Giant" ,,, nobody and I mean nobody could have beaten that man in his prime,, unless he agreed to the outcome of the match. You just have to realize the size of that man a legit 7'5" 500+ pounds, I saw him one time in Fresno i was in the front row,, he walked by and I was just in awe of this mountain of a man,, If Andre doesn't want to lose he doesen't end of story

  • andre was a legit 7'0 at best. no way 500+ pounds, the big show would kick his ass.

  • "andre was a legit 7'0 at best. no way 500+ pounds, the big show would kick his ass."

Yes Andre was never over 7 foot, but he was definatly 500+ lbs in the late 80s.

  • legit 7'5......the guy was measured in 1972 at 6'10

  • andre was 7'-7'1 at best,,,,,,they say 7'4 he was in 60's in early/mid 20's,,,the weight shrunk him, by WM3, andre was 6'10 at death 6'9

  • Piper is one of the best heels of all time. Period.

  • @6021diesel

lol, I used to hate the "bad guys", but RRP, you simply couldn't deny him. Ric Flair comes in second.

  • I totally agree with you. IMO, Piper is the best heel of all time and Flair would be a close second, followed by the old HBK, and the NWO Hollywood Hulk Hogan. You know, I love the line, "where...do...you...come...from...? Piper should use that line on Batista..He talks worse than Andre..

  • thing about most heels is that they were all cowardly, not this piper

  • piper would say he never lost or be pinned but i found several sites in the years that show pinfalls to snuka, bret hart jyd

  • @recreationleader1

You know that is a good point. I've heard Piper say this, but I remember Snuka pinned him in their "fijian strap match", Bret Hart @ WrestleMania, and Ric Flair at MSG in early 90's....where did you see JYD pin Piper?

  • when hogan was the american patriot piper was pinned by him as well. as for JYD results there are old wrestling magaznines that you can find online, pro wrestling results, obseessed with wrestling come to mind where i recall the dog getting some wins over him. plus there were tag matches and 6 man tags where andre, the dog, snuka, etc, beat rowdys team....piper a loss is a loss is a loss LOL

  • wrong bret hart was the only one who pinned piper!!

  • fijian strap match was on you tube with jesse ventura annoucing

  • andre punked rowdy out! OF coarse andre could have punked out anyone!

  • If the questions are too hard for you, I will try and bring them down - Classic Hot Rod!

  • Andrè the Giant was the greatest, fantastic

  • I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubble gum.

  • they live

  • This bring back memories. Though one of my first matches I remember was a tag team match Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant vs King Kong Bundy and Big John Stud on SNME. I don't quite remember anyone being able to slam Andre until Hogan did in Wrestle Mania 3.

  • Wow, I actually remembered this. My god. This was awesome. ATG is king

  • Roddy has slammed Studd. Studd was no Andre, but he was a big guy. So Roddy is stronger than you think.

  • this was awesome and i remember watchin it as a 9 year old kid....this pipers pit led up to andre and roddy piper in the ring , andre destroyed him... i have never found the video of that match ... roddy piper was 6'2 and 230 lbs when he wrestled and he looks like a midget here ...

  • Andre won by countout

  • @beers2257 Didnt he lose by countout? Piper was nearly impossible to pin in this era

  • Fred Blassie tells stories in his book about Andre's drinking exploits and how he'd get on an elevator, rip an enormous fart and block anyone from getting out.

  • OMG Piper was golden in this!

"Give me 5 minutes and I could slam you!"

  • i dont know how much piper weighs but i know i sure as hell cant pick him up w/ one hand. that was freakin awesome

  • MAN!

How strong was Andre..picked piper up like a rag-doll

  • Hogan often comments in his videos that Andre's strength was unbelievable.

  • PIPERS PIT!!!!! Awesome stuff from the wwf. Pier had to be the greatest bad guy in wwf history. An he was good on the mic!!!!

  • LOL great video!!! thanks for the great trip down memory lane,,,,

  • Love Piper, but come on... look at the size of Andre... look at his hands! He had to really take it easy on the guys he fought because he could crush them with ease.

  • where....do........you..come..from..... thats took guts and little tinny whenny brain lol

  • Andre manhandled Piper like a little kid hahaha

  • When Andre said "None of your business" that was an inside joke between the two of them. Piper would ask him anything backstage and Andre would give that answer.

  • andre threw him like a kid!! RIP

  • Piper's Pit was the best segment ever. Great times.

  • Just another reason why Rowdy Roddy Piper is one of the greatest badasses in WWE History.

  • you do not throw rocks at a man who got a machine gun!

  • Good stuff. Can't believe the late great "Big john stud" got mentioned. I bet most wrestling fans don't remember him anymore.

  • lol

  • this sparked wrestlemania 3's match between hogan and andre

  • And the fans LOVED it!

  • :( R.I.P Big Friendly Giant

  • you know what i dont get andre is always sayin that he was undefaeted in 15 years .but hulkhogan beat him and some others wrestlers like the warrior

  • Allegedly undefeated up until 1987 at Wrestlemania III. But he was beated prior to that, it was just harder to prove because its not like we had Internet back then. Andre lost to El Canek, Antonio Inoki in 1986, and Akira Maeda. But in terms of his WWF run, he was undefeated at the time.
