  • i like this , the record loudn proud was really a hit

  • check out his junk in that girls face bahahahaha

  • I love the few bars of glam rock stuff they play at, 1:54 - 2:02, before going back to the hard rock.

  • it may be sung by scots, but it was written by a canadian.

  • @UpstairsMaid ...and it sounds great in Thailand.

  • @UpstairsMaid And your point is?

  • @danning1 any video that doesn't credit the original artist or comment extolling the virtues of a piece of music that doesn't credit the original artist is shite. I would say that my point was very clear even if not to you.

  • have to love this tune being from Vegas

  • The look on Darrell Sweet's face at :54 is pure pride and joy! Bravo... what a song.

  • super Hit !!!!

  • Asbra!!!

  • SUPER***********

  • Zimmer's Hole's cover is better.

  • @lasoogneypubes Fuck that!!!

  • Damm bring back the freakin 70's man!!!

  • Wicked! Dan Mac's voice can raise the dead and make the blind see! Fuck yeah!!!

  • One of Scotland's greats, along with Alex Harvey, Frankie Miller showing what R'n'B was all about.

  • sounds better with a little scottish influence.

  • Like a fine wine.........it;s better today than when I first heard it back in the late 70's. What incredible talent.

  • THIS is Rock.

  • Sorry i broke the like button

  • love this band!...defenitely innovators...

  • It looks like its lipsyncked but who cares they are the real shit! Rock On Nazereth!

  • @acerman66 I don't think it's lipsyncing but I do think it was overdubbed with recorded sound, because it sounds identical to the studio version, and i do not think the quality of sounds would have been that good at the time.

  • im still a teen, and i would rather listen to this age of music rather than the shit that is out currently, total bullshit auto tune garbage

  • Loud and Proud was my first album purchase. Wore this song down to nuth'n.

  • Saw them 5 times!! They were always backing someone up, but they always outplayed the headliner.

  • That chick at 1:24 is high as fuck...

  • @PlanTonto

    Or she's bored LOL

  • This band was truly under-rated. And don't say they weren't.....

  • se Deus quiser, eu vou no show deles aqui em Curitiba *_*

  • one of the greatest band of all time.....are they in the R&R hall of fame i wonder, if Not an embarassment to thr hall....still have my naz 8 track collection from back in my teens

  • Sat third row center back in the 70's at Allen Theater . Will never forget it.

Jay Ferguson band was also on the ticket.

  • up go the flaps, down go the wheels....always smiled when I heard that as a young aircraft engineer and rock head in the 70s....pilot obviously enjoyed fast landings :)

  • best rock song ever

  • I saw Nazareth in Fabrik Hamburgh `70`They rocked it up, I`m a old rock chick, they were the builder of good rock stuff, like Black Sabbath. Nazareth a bit younger and underrated.(hair of the dog.is amazing). Good old stuff stay on for ever. love.....

  • Cracking band! Similar to the sweet in some ways, strong front man, plus good backup, sounds simple, but it works!

  • no puedo dejar de escuchar !!nazareth!!! DAN !que lindo !!!! ILOVE YOU

  • @nalvojo Very good definition

  • @GodfatherSandro Thanks man, your answer made my day ....

  • The audience was so still ... I could not keep still

  • @GodfatherSandro You wonder ? It's quite simple. They were paralized ( = correct ? i'm german ) - like me, when i use to hear them. And then, 40 years later, in a night bus from Manila back home, up to the north, the conductor put a DVD into the recorder. The reunion concert in the Glasgow Garage. Heaven help, i got goose flesh. Few weeks later i found this DVD myself in a book store an bought it for some Peso. Had Christmas twice that year ...

  • I saw Nazareth about 1970ish at Leeds Town Hall.they were brilliant,my first real gig.Went with my best mate John who was unfortunatley killed in a potholing accident about 1978.Sadly missed, john you were a great guy, miss you mate, often think of you.I read about his accident in an English newspaper while sitting by a pool on Majorca, life can be so tough,i always think of you when i hear any of Nazareth's stuff

  • Very under-ratted band! Love em!

  • love it

  • WOW.. love that retro sound!!!! totally kick ass!!!

  • a very good sound!

  • good ole 70s

  • wow theres a Goblins on the right of the screen dancing to the beat....nice

  • "Love Hurts" is the name of a song, written and composed by Boudleaux Bryant. First recorded by The Everly Brothers in July 1960, the song is also well known from a 1975 international hit version by the rock band Nazareth and in the UK by a top 5 hit in 1975 by Jim Capaldi.

The song was introduced in December 1960 as an album track on A Date with The Everly Brothers, but was never released as a single (A-side or B-side) by the Everlys. The first hit version of the song was by Roy Orbison.

  • I like Joni's better. But this version is fucking amazing as well.

  • I grew up listening to this great track. It must be one of the greatest covers of a Joni Mitchel song ever. It's easily the heaviest.

  • @Retromantra I dunno, Priest's version of Diamonds And Rust is prolly heavier. Just sayin.

  • Luv seein' a young Darrel, Pete & Manny, too!!! They set the bar pretty high for those who have followed...just sayin',,,

  • Great cover

  • i agree.......naz is my rock

  • FUCK YEA. Im Seeing These Guys At Sturgis North Tomorow AND Im Gonna Be On Stage And Get Auto graphs I Love These Guys. Rock On!!! NAZARETH FTW <3

  • the best music is the older stuff the stuff they play today is not music not even close

  • I saw them at the Deerfoot Casino tonight...STILL, doing it good, thanks guys great show!!

  • @greyowl750 They were fantastic last night! Danny still got that voice. I was so happy when they played this song.

  • RONNIE MARMO BACK IN THE DAY.....

  • his he singin "should not have got on this flight tonight" or "shoot my handgun ....." ?

  • @ccake11 It's a Joni Mitchell song, and yes he's singing "should not have got on this flight tonight". Roger Glover Deep Purple bassist/producer had a knack for having a hard rock band cover a lighter song. he did the same thing for Judas Priest with Joan Baez's "Diamonds and Rust". Pretty cool huh.

  • @ccake11 Look out the left the captain said The lights down there that's where we'll land Saw a falling star burning High above the Las Vegas sand It wasn't the one that you gave to me That night down south between the trailers Not the early one that you wish upon Not the northern one that guides in the sailors You've got that touch so gentle and sweet But you've got that look so critical Can't talk to you babe you know I get so weak Sometimes I think that love is just mythical.

  • I heard this song a few times when it came out on a mates car 8 track.

Loved teh song but forgot what it was called.

Finally found it again by going through all Nazareths songs.

    First class !

  • nazarth is soo under rated its not even funny

  • Written by Joni Mitchell. "Love Hurts" by Emmy Lou Harris & Graham Parsons, and "Diamonds and Rust" of Judas Priest by Joan Baez.

  • @kvkrob Love Hurts wasn't written by Graham Parsons and Emmy Lou Harris

  • nazareth is playing up my way this summer.

  • they did a bar tour in this area, last year awesome concert

  • JIM MORRISON...

  • Why can't we just live without commercials, we pay for the fucking cable! GTFO

  • A classic! God Bless Nazareth!!!

  • @am2boni ......my first concert, nazareth and max webster, a million years ago.....but your right, the crap coming out today doesn't hold a match to to the legends

  • this is the shit

  • this music is so much better tthen the crap out today

  • @djbigmama33 damn right man

  • @djbigmama33 im only 16 and i grew up where is shity music i love old rock the real rock !

  • @Matta212121 im 16 too ,i looove the old stuff WAAAYYY more then the new stuff , more real

  • @djbigmama33 I know what you are trying to say, but I suggest that you are just not listening to the right 'crap' out there right now. I love this music and am a big fan of many rocks classic, but there is some real music being made today. It is hard, however, to wade through ALL the modern input and select gems. Try Beck, Flaming Lips, Mars Volta, Janes Addiction, to name a few. If these don't suit you there are so many others to try. That is the problem, there so many , so look. They're there

  • @djbigmama33 AGREED

  • @MrQBchris :)

  • @djbigmama33 Damm Bring back the freakin 70's man

  • "...u've-got that-touch so-gentle-&-sweet but u've-got that-look so criti-i-ica-al..."

They have a lot hits to B really proud of, but this 1 is second to none. Period!

  • Love it when it breaks into the "beach boys ' bit !

  • Just absolutely Brilliant.

  • THE BEST LIVE.

  • classic. nuf sed !

  • najlepsze są stare zespoły i właśnie takie piosenki ; )

  • what a dead crowd,, i would go nuuuuuts

  • Oh ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now were cookin.

  • Nazareth has always been one of the best bands on the planet. This is my favourite song, along with Love Hurts and Razamanaz. I believe the Greatest Hits album to be my favourite album from them. Rock Nazareth. Good name for a band too.

  • Nazareth is continuing to deliver after all these years with a new album set for release April 18. Will be called "Big Dogz". Tell everyone!!! We gotta get the word out!!!

  • Thanks to Roger Glover for getting Nazz a record deal. Keep it Purple and Deep.

  • @Gaizzer just because they do drugs doesnt mean their fake, drugs have nothing to do with it...and justin bieber does'nt even write all of his songs, most are written for him

  • best voice ever

  • @stebolian Exactly what I tell everyone. Dan trully is the man. Long live the greatest band and frontman of all time. R.I.P. Darrell Sweet.

  • @vonspikit your a fag for bringing him up!

  • thats not the staring i love them i should know

  • Nazareth ROCKS

  • this is the best song of NAZARETH¡

  • Favourite all time Nazareth song - Awesome!!

  • @hargohargo2 I think if I hear his name one more time my head is going to explode

  • they were, in these days, an AC/DC

  • @kirkwallboy Its funny this song came out before ACDC even put out an album. Naz had put out around 4-6 albums before ACDC even put out one in fact before ACDC even formed Nazareth had put out 4 albums. NAZARETH is the best band to ever walk the face of the Earth.

  • 12 people were misdirected here from the Justin Bieber fan club

  • Joni Mitchell, another Canadian superstar!!

  • Hey Joni!! Canadian Sweetheart!!!

  • Just love this song got the 45 single 5 ****** for this

  • i dont think the drummer knows whats going on in the beginning,,,

  • Can't wait they got a new album coming out in Feb supossedly called Big Dogz Best band of all time. Long Live the Naz.

  • another guid auld scots band

  • THIS IS ROCK N ROLL, PEOPLE.................

  • The best cover of this song! I heard Mitchel's version but it's just shit

  • @rezacovahana1 .....I concur ....,,,,,,,

  • @rezacovahana1 I prefer the Nazareth cover but give Joni Mitchell some credit, she wrote the song.

  • damn this song effin' rocks...and how sweet are the well-behaved German girls ?

  • Well, I'll be damned--Nazareth goes disco...But I love it!:)

  • thanks for vid, nazareth rocked :)

  • this boy sings better than big rod

  • has dan passed away??

  • Sucks they're lipsynching this i was hoping it would live & raunchy.

  • these dudes rocked some serious shit back in the day...when music fuckin mattered.

  • Great song. I wonder if AC/DC ever considered Dan McCafferty as a front man when Bon Scott died?

  • Fekkin brilliant!!

  • these guys are coming to my town in 2011 with kim mitchell and other bands ! cant wait :D

  • if you guys like Nazareth, checkout my Nazareth tribute band at kingshorses.ca - The ULTIMATE tribute, and the closest thing to seeing Nazareth themselves... we also have youtube videos up, check em out!

  • "Hope it's bedtime when we meet again BABY". Sweet!

  • @Futura57 That's not how it goes...

  • @Futura57 Pardon ?

  • This goes to show that us scots can put a show on as good as anyone else, but theres something about this track thats so brilliant.I would put this in my top ten tracks of all time And weve gotta remember that naz came out the year that heavy rock did back in 68. Naz are no phonies they are one of the best and at that they still remain underrated (not by me though). GOD rest dan

  • nothing is more sad than the music today

  • IDIOT

  • What happened to the start of the song ?

  • joni mitchell is a fine song writer, and this tune is a perfect example..but Nazareth will be remembered for it , more so than she ever will !, still a great song and best version by one of the 70's coolest bands ever !

  • Brilliant stuff, i saw them in the early 70s, at the Cleethorpes winter gardens, little sweaty gig, great times.

  • ☺ ...simply awesome ...timeless song ... great band....☺

  • That wasn't live, every nuance of the recorded version was there...they're a lot more raw live...fantastic song though (thanks Joni Mitchell)

  • ich weis noch das ich schach spielte und die musik im hintergrung

  • This song crawls through my blood and rocks me out!!!

  • just an awesome band...was hooked from the first time i ever heard em. even joni mitchell would say they perfected this one

  • davidtransformer ok fair play to you mate,i allso grew up listening to nazareth and was gutted to hear that manny charlton had departed the band, manny played a big part in nazareth, and was very sad when i heared the news of darrell sweet's untimely death.

  • Grew up knowing Darrell Sweet! Great guy sadly missed, RIP Darrell, should still be with us making music.

  • David transformer i suggest you listen to more nazareth before you judge, manny charlton is a guitar genius, the reason nazareth are not as well known is that they did not bring attention to themselves by doing crazy things eg throwing televisions out of hotel windows, biting bats heads off etc, they don't have the image, their music speaks for it self. volumes.

  • @MrOctagon20 Wasn't a criticism, just an opinion. Grew up with them, saw them last year and actually am of the opinion they didn't get the breaks they deserved.

  • the best song evere

  • the ulitmative JIM BEAM song............

  • I;m 22, my mom is 41 and my grandpa is 65..3 generations of this being our favorite song! this is real music!

  • You know a cover kicks ass when nobody can remember the original. So many people are STILL floored when I tell them that this is a Joni Mitchell song ;)
