Where are you finding these units and parts?
I can't believe I've found videos of these things on youtube.
Your's is smoking like the oil injection is out of whack. Mine did that sometimes too. It would fill up the neighborhood with smoke.
It had a low top speed but that sucker would jump out of a hole in the woods with little effort.

i have an LJ10 just like that one.. and a LJ20 opentop and a hardtop. fun vehicles!
