in fact brett lee and the aussies would have already forgotten about it, since they did end up winning this match by four wickets. it would have been an even greater knock if it had been enough to produce a win against the aussies. Aussies do not care about indivudals being thrashed as long as their team wins , which more often than not does in current form.
it was a really good innings against australia in australia regardless of the fact we won or not, cus if your saying a good innings is only when the team ends up winning then you can take away so many great innings from alot of batsmen, for example when Tendulkar scored a magnificent centrury against pakistan in India and Saqlain got him out, india lost by (i think about 10 runs) tendulkar played really well but india lost does that mean his innings was all of a sudden a nothing innings(NO)

Yes, I'm an Indian who loves Pakistanis almost as much as I love India.
I like Afridi simply because he's a good player and I see a good human being inside him.
I know at least one Pakistani who thinks like me - Akram, who says India is a superpower, and attacks Hayden for calling India a third world country.
Pakistan is India and India is Pakistan. Maybe our children will realise this better.

You gotta be dRuNk to say that. Afridi is WAY TOO CLASSY when compared to Dhoni. And btw : I'm an Indian saying that, in case that matters.
Both are good batsmen, that can do the job. But Afridi is better. Just my 2 cents!

afridi is the best....and thts not blind hitting he does....look at his exellent footwrk and gr8 shots....hitting such a fast bowler as brett lee for a straight six requires alot more than blind hitting....u cn say its natural talent plus skills..

in fact brett lee and the aussies would have already forgotten about it, since they did end up winning this match by four wickets. it would have been an even greater knock if it had been enough to produce a win against the aussies. Aussies do not care about indivudals being thrashed as long as their team wins , which more often than not does in current form.

it was a really good innings against australia in australia regardless of the fact we won or not, cus if your saying a good innings is only when the team ends up winning then you can take away so many great innings from alot of batsmen, for example when Tendulkar scored a magnificent centrury against pakistan in India and Saqlain got him out, india lost by (i think about 10 runs) tendulkar played really well but india lost does that mean his innings was all of a sudden a nothing innings(NO)

individual performance is good for pure entertainment value. its influence on match is another thing and combine the two it becomes greatfromgood. e.g. warnes 4 wicket bust in adelide recently inmybooks is rated higher thanmany statistically better ind-performance. resulted in producing a ausvictory inspiteof collingwood scoring 200+, KP158+, hoggard 7wkt+ , first-innings lead but still losing the match in a session. resulting in psycholigical damage to end up losing series 5-0.

good point mate. everyone wants and expects to win after scoring a big hundered or taking 5 wickets plus, doesnt always happen and yeah it sticks in peoples minds more when there team ends up winning. but my point is people will still remember KPs performance in ashes even tho they lost 5-0 i will dont know bout the rest. and have you forgot Warnes performance last Ashes which Aus lost (no) everyone remembers great players performe even when there team is down n out

and by the way no bowler forgets a beating like that and if you follow cricket then you shud know. o yeah and McGrath wont forget cus he got batterd more than lee. you shudnt get jealous jus sit back and enjoy. a gud innings is a gud innings doesnt matter if you lose cus if thats the case then if a bowler takes 5 wickets and his team ends up loosing that doesnt take his 5 wickets away from him his still bowled well. i think iv made my point. enjoy :)
