I remember thinking it was weird to play "right handed" while being right handed. My right hand had a lot more "finesse" than my left, so I never understood why my right hand wouldn't be my fretting hand.
That is very much like something I'd do. Back when I could only read tablature and didn't have the internet or any direction at all, I'd just draw a measure and put in random notes and sometimes it actually sounded pretty good.
it good that youre giving a lesson on very basic reading too. buwhy say 16tnotes instead of semiquavers? it would be a good idea to give the technical names of the note values too
I would agree with that, US terminology being different than elsewhere but wait, non troppo presto with those semiquavers, what about 32nd notes demisemiquavers and so on. In a way the subdivisions of 16th and 32nd are really a lot simpler. From another left handed ambidextrous guitarist who plays a "right" handed guitar. Glad to see someone else has got it right :-)
Very interesting idea - I'll give it a try. BTW, you blew the lead right out of your pencil. So if you're looking for it, it's somewhere to your right.
Wow, how interesting! I'd have never thought of something like that. What kind of guitar do you play? I know it's an ibanez 7 string but I can't find it on the website. Do they still make those guitars?
great idea! i wonder, do u still use this method, Dave?

Im exactly the same..left handed but play guitar right handed. You think that gives us a head or a bit of a handicap?
deltafit 3 years ago
neither really, except that there's a much larger selection of right handed guitars.

Technically, "semiquavers" isn't really used here in the US.
