Since "front" and "back" are opposites, just as "forward" and "backward" are also opposites, I say that the opposite of a backslash is a frontslash, and the opposite of a forward slash is a backward slash. Since nobody uses the term backward slash, we should not use forward slash either. Just call them backslash and frontslash.
