Thanks worked like a charm and with the bandana and marshal outfit I got my wanted level down faster and was able to walk to the station with no worries.

@leadexample I got it in Mexico, I found it easier there. There's a good spot on the roof of the house in Chuparosa or El Matadore (where there is also a Gatling gun for the Mowing Them Down achievement/trophy).

This took me an hour and fifteen minutes. When I was on 4000 I thought I'd be a dick and jump off the roof thinking the town was now abandoned. I was immediately spotted by the marshals. Surprisingly I still made it to 5000.

If you don't want this to affect your honor, just save your game beforehand, get the achievement, then reload back to the save before the massacre. You can't lose the achievement so win win.

There are two NPC spawn points visible from the top of the ladder.

One you get your bounty going look at one, kill them, turn around, kill them, turn around, kill them, turn around, kill them, etc.

One in front of the train station and another on the sidewalk near the bank.

No you don't, if you get all the trophies for Red Dead but not the packs you'll still get platinum only it won't say 100%. It'll say platinum and then like 60%.

@Dallabye you don't have to get this achievement on a roof, friends in high places means that you can commit a lot of crimes($5,000), and you have friends in high places that can get you out of it via a "pardon letter".

I spent three hours just roaming the entire map picking fights with the cops and popping off rounds in civilians. I found out that the absolute best place to take cover is behind a bar or counter.

@3bb00d Sometimes people working at places go on breaks and they take a bit to come back, I notice this about the barmen, shopkeepers and the telegraph employee's. Lol saw them smoking outside a few times or talking to other people. This game is so lifelike and great it's unreal.

if you're afraid you'll die, just use 2 horse deeds and it will automatically save so you don't have to start all over again =)

@MusicGamer1337 correct me if i'm mistaken, but I thought you only had to use a horse deed once? I haven't even tried autosaving that way for fear of losing my progress (i always use campsite to be safe) but I noticed the save message in the corner when i use a horse deed once...

@cdawg43o by using two horse deeds you can keep saving the game since you're switching horses; but yes you only need one horse deed to save but you'll need to wait for your horse to be killed or switch horses in order to save again

@cdawg43o Nope. You can shoot your horse in the face and use the horse deed to bring another one. Then you can shoot that one in the face and use your horse deed, again, to bring back yet another horse. But you only have one deed for each horse.

I just did this in Armadillo and when the lawmen stop spawning I just got off to the far side of town behind the sheriff's office and wait for my wanted to go down then make a camp and save. I found this was the easiest way because if you die, the game automatically loads this file so you dont have to do it all over again if you accidently die. Hope this helps.
