  • people Saturday come from paganism. the origin of Saturday come form Saturn.when god word said he rested on the 7Th day,NO WHERE in All of Gods word does it say on what day he rested.the word sabbath is a holy, sabbath does not mean Saturday. So if your work week starts out on wednesday and you count out 7 days then on that 7Th day you would rest. you make that day holy unto god.

  • @mogges1 Nonsense. Yes it's true God names the days of the week by numbers only 1-7, but we can clearly see he called the 7th day the Sabbath. Jews have been keeping the SAME 7th day holy for thousands of years. Did not Jesus and the new testament writers know what day the Sabbath day was? When was Jesus crucified according to the new testament (Good Friday). What day did He rise (Easter Sunday)? the day in between is Sabbath (Saturday). Sabbath = Fri sunset to Sat sunset.

  • All the bible says is work 6 days and rest on the 7th. If you work Monday to Saturday then rest on Sunday I see no problem

  • @jonniefiction321 There is a problem, because for thousands of years the Jews have kept the 7th day which is Saturday not Sunday. God is specific when He created the universe and blesses & sanctifies THE 7th day as His Holy day. Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath day and there by to say it is Sunday is to go against the Word of God. Sunday has always been associated with pagan sun worship which is another reason God has chosen Saturday (fri sun down to sat sun down).

  • @sleanos GOD DID NOT CHOOSE SATURDAY. THE WORD SATURDAY COME FROM SATURN.THE EGEPTIAN WORSHIP THE STARS, AND THEY WORSHIP SATURN.and yes jesus is the lord of the sabbath.but it is NOT SATURDAY.It is the end of one work week.We set that day for rest and make holy unto god.

  • @mogges1 Sorry but you are misinformed. Read the new testament some time.. Did Jesus not know what day the Sabbath was? (Fri- sunset to Sat sunset.) Read when He was crucified, died, buried and rose again. Clearly reveals what day is the Sabbath. And true the name Saturday is not of biblical origin but neither is Easter Sunday to represent the day that Christ rose. Either way, Sabbath = Fri sunset- Sat sunset.

  • Matthew 28:1 In the end of the Sabbath (Saturday) as it began to dawn toward the first day (Sunday) of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. KJV

(See dictionary or encyclopedia the meaning of Saturday and Sunday.)

John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth; THY WORD IS TRUTH.

  • amen

  • The Sabbath day is a feast day, a celebration ordained by God. Gentile Christians (non-Jews) have no reason to acknowledge these days though. To those of us who were not brought up in the tradition of keeping the Sabbath, it only holds the significance that we place on it. Thanks for preaching, but our instructions come from the New Testament Christ only. Anything else is personal matter between the individual and God. Romans 14:5. "Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind."

  • I think you need to seriously study this one out a little further.

    Couple of questions:

    1) When was the institution of marriage created?

    2) How long was that meant to last?

    3) When was the 7th day Sabbath created, blessed, sanctified, and made Holy by the Creator Himself?

  • @sleanos Looks like people just don't know!

  • @sleanos 1. Creation, 2. 'Till death, and 3. Creation. Ask 10 random people in the street what's the first and what's the last day of the week. Probably 8 will tell you the week starts on Monday and ends on Sunday --- even those who own a calendar. To most people the week is M thru S, with S trhu S being an anachronism of calendar making. It doesn't really matter what day is the Sabbath, right? After all, with all those calendar changes centuries ago, were weekdays kept in succession?

  • @Fetrovsky sorry friend it does matter. People can adopt all the changes to the calendar they want (none have truely lasted, with exception to this recent ISO standard of making Monday the 1st day of the week). According to the bible, Jesus is our example and in light of the law, what day did Jesus treat as His Holy Sabbath day and what day did He rise on? It matters to God because He has forwarned of this changing through prophecy

  • @sleanos The Law is: Work six days, and rest on the seventh. It's that simple.

  • @Fetrovsky Sounds simple yes but people tend to make it more complicated.

  • @Willeum6 According Romans 14:5 You should begin reading at Romans 14:1. You'd then find out this was a Fasting Day and not talking about observing the Sabbath Day! NOT A MATTER OF GOD's COMMAND.

  • You misquote Col 2:16-17.

    Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

The 10 commandments of God are not contrary to us. The judgments/animal sacrifices/etc are. Commandments written on stone and then in the heart. Ordinances are temporary and can change and were prophesied to be no more in the book of Daniel 9:27 as a part of the 70 week/490 year prophecy pointing to the 1st coming.

  • Isa 66:22-23 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

Has God recreated the earth and heavens yet? Nope. Not until His second coming, and we will still be worshiping on the Sabbath before His feet.

  • Sorry, no space for full quotes.

"From one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another...saith the LORD." (Isa 66:23). Let no man... judge you...in respect of... the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ." (Col 2:16-17). Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations... the seventh day is the sabbath" (Le 23:2-3). "He that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it." (Ro 14:6)

  • Dan 9:26 makes it clear it is the Messiah's work in Dan 9:27, not the anti-christ as so many Christians believe.

Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

  • Col 2:16-17 refers to all the temporary ordiances/ ceremonial rituals and animal sacrifices when you study it that pointed ALL to the work of the Messiah.

The 7th day Sabbath was blessed and sanctified at Creation week by the Creator BEFORE sin entered right along with Marriage whom all agree is meant to last forever. It's also the longest commandment in the 10 commandments, but most Christians shorten it to just "remember the sabbath" there by making it Sunday or some other day as they see fit

  • Make no apologies when speaking about the Word of God. You MUST quote it exactly and in context, otherwise you are guilty of misrepresenting the Word based on your own interpretation.

  • Amen ,that is so true .

  • Lev 23:2 Gets ready to speak of feast days which are also holy convocations.

Lev 23:3 speaks of the 7th day Sabbath of the 10 commandments which is not a feast day.

Lev 23:4 makes this clear because NOW it starts: "These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons." and then it goes on to describe all the feast days in detail. Scripture makes a distinction between the 7th day Sabbath and the rest of the annual Sabbaths which are temp.

  • And lastly Rom 14:5/6 is dealing with the fact that Jewish converts were trying to impose some of the Levtical feast days on the gentile converts. This has nothing to do with the 10 commandments or the 7th day Sabbath. It has to do with the fact that if one wants to still keep some feasts days or a holiday today like Xmas to remember the birth of Christ (even if it isn't on that day), let each do so as persuaded in their own minds and it is not required of them to do so.

  • The 10 commandments however, we are all to obey.

  • Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Notice it says "man" as in mankind/humanity, not just Jew.

Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

  • Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

  • @Willeum6 This verse sets the tone for the entire passage indicating "doubtful disputations" or disputes on wrongful matters. Is the seventh day Sabbath set apart by YAH(God) at creation (Gen 2:1-3) placed within the heart of moral law (Ex 20:8-11) a doubtful matter? Certainly NOT! The key to our passage is found in verse 6 which states, He that regards the day regards it unto the Lord, and he that regardeth not the day regards it not to the Lord.

  • AMEN!

  • But when does it start? Not on sundown on Friday, not in the modern understanding of most people, it actually starts Noon to Noon, Saturday-Sunday.

  • What biblical evidence can you give to support your statement? Here is ours:

Leviticus 23:32 states that from even to even is when the all of the Sabbaths were to be celebrated including the weekly 7th day Sabbath of the Lord thy God. Even in hebrew = `ereb

    Strong's Hebrew definition for H6153

    1) evening, night, sunset

    a) evening, sunset

    b) night

  • If you would Ask In Yahshua's Name for truth and understanding, then would you receive the knowledge of His Word set there before you. Remember, the days start sunset to sunset. Read Genesis Chapter 1. I hope and pray that Yahweh will take the blinders away so that you and other may see all of His Truth, not man's.

  • I heard arguments and verses that support both sides and both seem valid. I'm still trying to figure it out. Thanks for adding this information.

  • Here's the main 1 to consider. The 7th day was blessed & sanctified in the beginning BEFORE the fall of man and sin. Hence it is a memorial to the Creator. And it is contained in the heart of the moral law (10 Commandments) and Jesus obeyed. You cannot say the same for the 1st day of the week.

  • Moses smashed the first 10 commandments and went upto the mountain and God wrote them again Exodus 34:4-28 -- V28: And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

  • God wrote the words upon stone the second time NOT Moses. God told Moses to hew two stones, but God would write on them again.

Exo 34:1 (KJV) And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.

  • The Ten Commandments are the covenant and God made a new one God said that I will make a new Covenant. Heb.8:7-8: "For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second." V.8 Because finding fault with them, He says: "Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah." He's saying the first covenant was not perfect and needed to be changed, replaced with another.

  • The new covenant is based on forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ. The heart of the New Covenant is still the 10 Commandments/obedience to His will. It is written on the heart. Notice God found FAULT WITH THEM (the Israelites). Scripture records THEY promised to obey God. The New Covenant is that we obey God by trusting in DIVINE strength. Please see my two videos on the 2 covenants. I address this topic thoroughly as well.

  • And Jesus tells us precisely what to do in remembrance of His death & resurrection. Baptism & Holy Communion.

  • I'd like to add to this thread that the first thing Moses did when he came down from the Mt. the second time was observe the Sabbath and then they built the temple which was a foreshadowing event of Christ's second coming.

  • Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the Tree of Life, and may enter in through the gates of the city. Rev.22:14. Thank you my friend for posting God's Truth! GBU!

  • Amen! GBU as well friend!

  • What the Lord was trying to show us is that He is our sabboth. He is our rest, everyday is a christian's sabboth.Did he not eat from the feild with His friends, did not King david eat the preist's bread and that on the sabboth also.

  • Friend, you are trying to "spiritualize" away the 10 commandments. What day is the Lord's day in Revelation? The 4rth commandment says the 7th day. Jesus is our spiritual rest & peace daily, however He still has 1 day out of the week that He calls his own and it isn't the 1st day.

  • Keep the day Holy as God commands however NOT the way the pharisees kept it but the way JESUS shows us by example & principle, not with the "traditions" & rules of the rabbis in His time. You keep Sunday which there is no command in the Bible, we keep the 7th day as our LORD thy God Commands if we love Him.

  • All I am saying is that the Lord has got our back as far as the sabboth in the sense that if we are in Him and he is the Lord of the sabboth then we keep the sabboth always for He is always with us,peace to you

  • I hear ya, however God has promises and blessings for those that obey Him and Keep His Sabbath. Don't know about you, but He created the 7th day, sanctified it and made it Holy especially for you and I, like a birthday, you can't just make it anyday you want. It stands as a weekly memorial to our Creator.

  • You do well in comparing the Sabbath to a birthday. The only difference is that birthdays are a pagan tradition and the sabbath is a Godmade tradition. God did command that his people keep the sabbath days (weekly and otherwise), the new moon, the passover, and the various other feasts (festivals). In the Old Testament, the seventh-day sabbath is the most emphasized of the mandated "feasts" that the Israelites were to keep forever, just like passover, new moon, etc. (Leviticus 23).

  • We use the birthday analogy because it is easy for most to grasp the significance of it. The 7th day weekly Sabbath is a memorial to the Creator after creating everything in 6 days. It is a constant reminder of Him for His people to corporately come together to worship fellowship and share Him with the Lord. You are incorrect if you believe God did not command His people to obey the 10 commandments including the 4rth.

  • Mat 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

This would include the first four obvisoulsy, unless you think it's all of a sudden ok to use God's name in vain and worship other "gods", etc. And Jesus continuously went to synagou/church on the Sabbath (as well as preaching/worshipping in nature). It was His pattern according to the commandments.

  • To be assured sunday is not the sabboth, friday sunset to saturday sunset is the traditional jewish sabboth that is reffered to as shabbot and kept faithfully by millions of jews around the world

  • Amen, that is correct. Jesus is the author of the 10 Commandments and says if you "Love Me" keep my commandments (all 10) plus the others He commands of us. We want to be consistent Christians... right, not wishy washy ones that say keep some or only 9.

  • If you can keep them all then ofcourse you should. The Lord says I only realy have to make sure I keep two of them and they both are all about love and I do love Him.I also love all His children, peace my friend

  • Brother, you are surely decieved then. Jesus quoted Love for God & Love for Man. Love is the stem of God's government. The first 4 commandments are we show tangible evidence of loving God. The last six are how we show if we truly love our fellowman. By your definition then, Idolatry and worshiping other gods wouldn't matter then. U R arguing with the Word of God, not me.

  • Love leads to obedience to the will of God. We may "fall into sin" and He is there to pick us up, but this is different than willfully disobeying His will. Why would anyone want to willingly trangress His law and commit sin thereby "crucifying" Jesus again and again?

  • Yes, heaven is my hope; to forever be with God and never ever see death again. Amen my friend, Amen!

  • Excellent, excellent work, I pray that more and more people will post video responses like this. Thank you for posting. God Bless, Happy New Year.

  • Amen! Amen! I delight in all His ways, and when I can show Christ my love for Him it is just a wonderful feeling. He fills my heart with such hope and love. I have seen several of your videos now and I really like them. Thank you my friend for God's Truth.

  • Amen :) Please share these messages with others so that all may be saved. God Bless and Happy Ne w Year. May we hasten our Lord's coming by fulfilling the gospel commission.

  • Excellent, and beautiful, thank you, these videos of truth encourage me, and keep me in the truth, truly we humble little sheep should proclaim it from the "housetops"! :)
