  • is this still a 4.6?! haha

  • I hope those cams aren't in a stock motor. That would just be good for some noise.

  • rrrrr getting mine in jan upgrading from a bf xr6 hmmm im a parts interpreter at holden wonder wat impact it would have there

  • Sounds awesome, my focus is shaking in its boots :-)

  • you TOTALLY need to post some drive-by and in car vids

  • TP !!!! :O

    Turbo Popcorn :O !!!!

  • all this thing has is a cam?!?!

  • someone please give this stang a bath :) nice sound man.

  • I want my mustang to sound like that. What kind of setup do you have and whats the brand of your cams.

  • I want my mustang to sound like that what kind of setup do you have and whats the brand name of your cams.

  • Awesome sound, awesome ride!!!

  • WOW

  • A bunch of noise, no bottom end power and a pain to drive..No thanks.

  • @bigmrclean no bottom end power? crane, crower, and comp all make and sells cams with an agressive grind that still maintains a fat torque curve ie: comp cams race-limited street cam (2200-6500). What application in a mustang would you seriously need a lot of power below 2200 rpm?

  • @DEMONSPEEDIN Anything you plan on driving on the street. Anytime you slap more duration on a camshaft you're taking away from bottom end and adding RPM's to it. Since duration is the period in which the valves are off the seat, that's what makes the idle sound the way this one sounds. I've been down this road more than once. I put big cams in a 00 mustang with quite a bit of work done to it. All it did was kill the low end and make a bunch of noise.

  • @bigmrclean you're just looking at one side of the equation. It doesn't only take away from the bottom; it shifts the torque curve to a higher peak rpm. True its not practical for a street engine, but you spend the money to make a high rpm cam worthwhile by balancing a motor to turn 8-9000 rpm, its great. Because less time shifting=more time accelerating.

  • what were the numbers

  • Great sound!! But i lol'd at the civic with the tow hitch welded to the back of it....hahahaa

  • The ciivic next to it would give it a run for its money.

  • I'm sure it sounds better in person,it could just be the camera, its nice and lumpy

  • Comment removed

  • its only been 33 secs. into the video an im in love but this car or beautiful machine as i call it sounds dangerous also lol..man mustang are truly the best but either way i know this stage of cams are not everyday driveable but who cares show me more lol

  • this sounds like crap,it sounds to raspy when you rev it,kind of like a honda

  • blk90awd, that's called a cammed monster rofl

  • The cams don't make that raspy tone. It's the exhaust set-up. I can almost guarantee it's an O/R X pipe.

  • Yeah they do lol. Exhaust can only change the volume and tone of the exhaust note. It can't control things like a lumpy idle and raspy midrange because that's the cam that causes it to sound like that. Aftermarket cams have more lift and duration, not to mention overlap, which gives it that distinguished lumpy idle.

  • Does anyone know if these cams require fly cut pistons?

  • better thkan sex

  • how much does it cost to install cams?

  • $1,000 thru Ford service centers, you provide all parts.

  • Is that a corsa exhaust?

  • god i love that sound

  • who cant love that sound

  • a person that smokes a pound every day!

  • pretty sure they could too

  • yes, yes they could...

  • EITHER OLD TRICK OR NEEDS TO BE TUNED.

  • if the vacuum lines were off it would bee puffing black smoke for getting too much fuel so i believe this car is cammed

  • You believe this car is cammed? What gave you that idea? maybe the title of the video?

  • why dont you think its cammed ??

  • no cams.. just the old vacuum leak trick. you can hear the ecm try to compensate idle at 0:18. the reason its running so fat is its sucking air and computer is dumping more fuel to compensate.

  • If it was sucking in unmetered (post MAF), air, as you claim, it would run lean, not rich.

Think about it, if It's sucking in air from a vacuum line, how would the computer know in order to compensate as you claim?

  • your right I own a mustang. you can hear it.. :P

  • Sounds a little raspy. Could just be the video. stage 4 huh. what did that do for your performance?

  • Nice sounding sn197. What kind of cat-back is on that thing?

  • what kind of exhaust system is on there?

  • it is cold because both of the guys in the video were wearing pretty heavy coats

  • Maybe its cold outside and there is nothing wrong with the car!!!!!!

You Internet Mech. need to shut your mouth and go learn something in the real world!!!

  • agreed!

  • maybe a little to much cam ur prob hurting ur performance

  • That is a MONSTER! I have never heard a stang in my life that sounds that mean. props man, props.

  • Running a little rich it looks like ?

  • that is some black exhaust coming out...

  • is that good?

  • not at all, there could be several problems with the car. if it is a bluish smoke then you have oil dripping on the pan, if it is thick, then u need cleaner gas or better burning sparks.. there could be some other things wrong with it but i am really tired now and can not think of all the scenarios.

  • it's just water vapor because of the cold air outside

  • Oh yea, time to go eat up some ricers...

  • That thing has some bad ass cams on it, and it sounds bad ass too xD

  • I wish I new the full exhaust setup... This is the best sounding s197 I have heard to date

  • This is the best sounding new mustang with cams in it. It usually doesnt sound close to being lobey or to have enough lift but this car is awsome!

  • Needs better exhaust. Way to raspy for me.

  • That's not stock exhaust, look how big the tips are. Looks like the FRPP/Borla stingers or maybe Slowmasters I can't tell. Doesn't sound like flows though... Sounds like the stock manifolds and catted midpipe though, open that thing up. Let it breathe man!

  • sounds like stock mufflers with offroad pipe very raspy but nice lope with cams.

  • dude, it has a nice lump to it but you really need a better exhaust setup.

  • badass!!! what are the specs on the cams?

  • thats bad!! what exhaust is that, sounds like somesort of x-pipe to me, but idk.
