  • I love the fact you guys are doing this. Lots of cleaning, painting, assembly....but i don't see any scraping!? I did however see a bunch of wear patterns on the ways and dovetails during assembly. please tell me you didn't go through all this and not scrape the ways or at the very least QC. Oddly enough there are several youtubes on this, and it's a whole new level of precision. It's not that hard and the difference is night and day, thus very rewarding...not hand scraping a Bridgeport!?!?

  • I think the color is great!! I haven't seen a color compromise the way a machine performs.

    I work for a well known worldwide corporation and this is the color of the toolmakers machines. I think its a good choice.

  • I really like to see people rebuilding old machines, You are putting alot of work into it. The only question I have is why did you paint it such and awful color? It makes it look dated and dirty and it takes away from all the hard work you put into it.
