Death of Krieg are a bit differant then many other guardsmen. They are emotionless young soldier that have no fear of death and are very well desciplined. They actually have commissars not to control moral but to make sure that the men wont go too far. They are one of the best guard forces there is. They wone countless battle against forces of chaos, tyranids, eldar, and maybe necrons...I think they faced the necrons once but they lost but it was a close fight.

@MrAinslieJJ That's the idea. This regiment was based on the Germans in WW2. The Canadians are based on modern day British soldiers, the Mordien Iron guard on US marines, The Vostroyan on the Russians in WW2, Tallarn desert fighters on the Arabic armies and so on. Games workshop routinely take inspiration from history in creating regiments- and as the Imperial guard is arguably the largest army in the game, they call upon lots of periods and armies
@Randathamane You are correct but the Vostryan are based from the Russian Cossacks and the Vallhalan are based from WW2 Russians but even though I play Space Marines The Death Korp are my favourite IG Regiment closely followed by the Tanith and Cadians :D

Gotta love the Death Korps! They are basicly german though. It's in their name, "Krieg". Thats german, as in "Blitz Krieg" World War II tactics that Germans used. Even if they are based of germany they are still really cool!

Not that either, it looks more British WW1 than German. Is it the helmet? Close, the Crest is a common feature of french WW1 helmets but the side flaps are German. Additionally, how could you even relate them to WW2 if the Death korps specialty is Trench warfare.

Also their specialty trench warfare is WWI yes, but the other part which you forgot is siege warfare and that perfectly applies to Nazi Germany.
@Royalfork1 Trench warfare was still used in WWII just not as much as WWI. But I also think that its there logo, how it is a skull with a had that most german generals wore. @tzepesh20 my mistake i was trying to do a Khorne follower but i just can't do it. I follow Tzeench and trying to transition between the two is quite difficult so i think i'll stick to what i know

Death Korps specialises in trench and siege warfare due to the 500 year or some other amount of time long civil war fought on their planet. Col. Jurten nuked krieg to deny it from the rebels, and from what ive read they have permission to clone their men? idk something like that. They are bad ass, thats for sure!

@SuperMcmonster In single combat, I would best you easily. On the open field, my brothers would obliterate. By the way, I wear terminator armour, so good luck killing me with a havoc bolter and I would deep-strike into melee before you could fire. if you rely on your puny havoc bolter so much, you must be "a coward who would rather fight from a distance than face their foes." Death Korps specialises in trench and siege warfare due to the 500 year or some other amount of time long civil war fought on their planet. Col. Jurten nuked krieg to deny it from the rebels, and from what ive read they have permission to clone their men? idk something like that. They are bad ass, thats for sure!
