I enjoy her videos! I think that a person truly interested in protecting his vision for life must understand how a refractive state is measured, how a Snellen is used to determine your visual acuity, and how to prescribe a minus lens (if you have 20/40). Thanks!
@otissumnerbrown I don't think anyone knows for sure if it leads to more myopia. Being over-minused can lead to headaches and eye strain, though, and that's no good. It's important to do a very careful refraction and be sure there is no accommodative disorder before prescribing glasses.
@youroptician Oh my. I made this video well over a year ago and I was still getting used to making videos and I have since gotten a better camera. If you watch my more recent videos you will see that. I'm working hard to get my degree and I put a lot of effort into making my videos, so I don't feel like I need to grow up.
Correction!. If patient prefers the red dot on the JCC they need less cyl..well thats in a plus cyl phoroptor..bottom line is that if u want the best refraction of your life come down to Houston, Texas!

Will over-minus cause additional myopia. Does anyone know?

It is so cool knowing what's really going on. I've been through this every year since I was 9, but I've never known what it all meant.
