i have no idea why people are hating on the new duke nukem forever so damn much. its a good freakin game and it is an homage to all that is duke, ideas they had for this game have seen the light of day in the new one. in fact theres an optional door you can go thru in the game and i have no idea what the code is but i remember there being a art in this trailer where duke was punching numbers i wouldnt be surprised if it was **80. but whatever haters gonna hate, they didnt wreck your childhood.

I feel a bit differently, it looks up to date for 2001 but not kickass. It basically has little more detail than original Half-Life, which came out late 1998. Also, SEGA Dreamcast and SONY Playstation2 started showing what games should look like - e.g. Shenmue and DeadOrAlive2 came in 99/00. I guess PC developers had to play catch-up.

Yet from what it looks like, the gameplay could have been good, if it was anywhere near ready.
