  • lol looks like an ice queens liar XD!

  • Lair? Yes, I agree. It looks like a totally magical place.

  • Cool I live in Sweden but never been in the Ice Hotell. Probably because i live in the south. I wanna go there=P

  • You're not the only one, im living 150 kilometres away from Jukkasjaervi, but i have never been there. :)

  • I saw this hotel being built on the Discovery Channel.

  • same

  • Do the guest rooms have doors and if so are they made of wood..? Can you lock the doors..?

  • Looks like another planet in outer space. Very mysterious and ethereal. Beautiful, but I sure wouldn't want to stay overnight in that cold a surface. Music is great. Thanks.

  • Is it too expensive?

  • isn't it like really cold there tho?

  • Naah, like minus 5 degrees, and you get really warm sleeping bags to sleep in. Most of our guests is sweating instead of freezing. Yeah, I work there, quiting next month.

  • very spacely

  • I'm from Kiruna and I've been to the ice hotel many times and for me it's nothing special about it. I haven't spent the night there and I never will, but the tourists seem to like it. But the hotel has put Kiruna and Jukkasjärvi on the map, which is good I guess :)

  • WOW...it seems very expensive,,,but on the other side...its totally worth it! its a once-in-a-lifetime experience you should totally try! when i get a little older, you can bet on anything that im gona visit that hotel!

  • WOW!!!!

  • This is incredible.. the only thing is..I'm a dude.. and it seems like waking up in the morning to such a cold room..any case of morning wood would be off the charts...

  • Yeah, I was wondering about that. I'm assuming sex at the ice hotel is out of the question.

  • Either out of the question.. or the only possible means of staying warm LOL.

  • What does that have to do with Sweden?

  • simply natural way to survive long cold winter's in Sweden and the rest off arctic world

  • That's it! I'm moving there... I'm ICE-ADDICTED!

  • How the heck, how can you sleep in those beds, with a room of ice, wouldn`t you freeze to death ?:O

  • you are given there sleeping bag like things ???

  • But, still if you get out of your bed.. wouldnt you freeze ?? I mean it`s like -20 over there :|!

  • Apparently it's warmer inside the hotel than it is outside. The temp in the hotel itself is around -6 Celsius (20* Fahrenheit). Pretty darn cold but it won't kill you if you're dressed in layers, cap & mittens and in a very warm sleeping bag. There's also reindeer skin separating you in your sleeping bag from the ice bed. Or so I've gathered.

  • Ah kk, so ive you cant sleep because its to cold, you have to find a way to stay warm, and what do you do when you are bored and your girlfriend is sleeping next to you XD ??

  • about -5 actually :)

and nah, you get all you need to stay warm

  • The sleeping bags are warm enough to keep you good. Check out their website.

  • thx :)

  • if this is the one in sweden iv been there:P

  • mukemmel

  • how mucs does it cost

  • The price seems to vary on what type of room/package you get. If I've done the conversion properly (probably not) the website seems to suggest prices ranging from 300 to 800 a night in the ice hotel. You should check there if you want to be exact.

  • I meant $300 to $800 in US dollars. You'll have to do your own conversion. Check the website to be sure. I've just been navigating it right now.

  • Wonderful shots and music. Thanks for posting!

  • Beautifully shot and perfectly appropriate soundtrack. But I have to agree. How does the bathroom situation work??

  • i really wanna know about the toilet situation in an ice hotel... wouldnt it just freeze as ya did ya wees.. how duz it flush?!

how bout food situation,,, is there a restaurant? with a kitchen ... and sinks...?

    thoughts?

  • ..... Just today I watched a show about this on The dish Network high definition theater channel, it is amamzing! They have regular heated building for the toilets, also the restaurant.

  • the toilets and showers are inside another place beside the ice hotel. like the place to eat.

i work at the ice hotel and it's a very fantastic place!

  • Ah man! I'm jelouse, I wanna work there! Atleast to take part in it's construction or something.

  • yeah it's a good experience!

  • i saw this hotel on discovery hd it looks great

  • I went to the ice hotel! it was awesome! there are only 2 ice hotels in the world.

  • It seems there are THREE Ice Hotels: Finland, Sweden, and Canada.

  • Åh vad jag älskar det här hotellet, det är helt fantastiskt!! Den vackraste platsen i världen!

  • We just left the Ice Hotel in Jukkasjarvi, Sweden. It was an incredible experience that simply cannot be described to others, much as one cannot describe the Cirque de Sole to someone who has not seen it. I recommend it most highly.

  • how much does it cost

  • I am sitting in the lobby of the hotel as I am watching this video! I hope you had a great experience. For us it was unforgettable.
