whenever I try this method and i apply it on the nail the smile line gets really messed up...it just completely loses it's shape :\ any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
@athinalileth Yes, it sounds like your are not letting the white acrylic harden before application. Once the white acrylic tip has fully cured there is no way for the smile line to distort. As an after thought, make sure you are not 'mixing' your acrylics, sometimes using an acrylic liquid from one company and powder from another doesn't always give great results. If you want more detailed help just e-mail us :-)
@TammyEMD Hi, yes you can use powdered pigment in 'Clear' acrylic powder and get good results. We have tried using pigment in clear UV gels but sadly the results were less than convincing. HTH's
@JaYaNcutie lol I did them myself using Windows Movie Maker :-) The trick with the graphics is actually quite simple, but a little time consuming. Pause the footage where you want to start the graphic and then use the 'Take a Snap Shot' button. This gives you a 'still' then use a paint program to add a graphic, then save it, then add another, then save it as a new pic, repeat until done. Then add the stills into the storyboard, include some fades and that's it :-) Hope that helps!
@kamilicrafts some people use a thin marker pen on the outside of the mould to indicate where to put the smile, then turn the mould over and put in the white and sculpt the smile to the line. Once your done the marker pen should just wipe off with a little bit of prep solution. It's all about practice though, the more you do the easier it will become :-)
where can I buy the tips? Can I use normal ones that I have, which I bough on ebay.. but it doesnt look exactly the ones you have! Does it matter which tip I use? And one question, after you have done the design on the tip and let it harden do you put pink / clear L&P just on the nail where the pinks suppose to be or on the hole nail and then holding it to your natural nail? THANKS YOUR DOING AWSOME JOB! FIVE STARS!
@deelale hi, the ones you have are very different to Inverted Moulds. There are different techniques to using IM's but the basics are similar. Yes you do the tip design first, allow to harden then apply pink / clear to the bottom of the IM and then apply to the natural nail. You can but Inverted Moulds directly off our website and we can send them to you in Sweden, you also get full access to the video tutorials on our website :-)
Hi, just replied to your other comment in very very poor Spanish sorry lol. You buy them directly off our website and we send them to you by mail. You also get full access to our online video archive which has over 3hrs of videos for you to watch. HTH's
could you cheat and just mark the IM where the tip of the natural nail bed ends?
not sure what you could mark it with though...maybe a dot on the outside of it...not where the L&P goes, and then clean it up with non acetone remover?
Yeah you can, at first you can use a marker pen (like a white board pen) on the outside on the IM to indicate where to put the smile. You would do this after you have done the sizing up and trimming stage. Then turn the IM over, sculpt the smile inside the mould (you can see the marker pen line through the IM) then when your done you can wipe off the line with cotton wool & non acetone remover as you suggested. With practice you won't even need to do this, you can do it all by eye. HTH's
i'm using some acrylic from Germany ( Nail Design )....do you know ???? I live in Nederland , and is more easy for me to use the German products....tell me please, what are you using ?
Hi, L&P stands for Liquid and Powder acrylics. This is what we use to make the nail extension. The technician dips her brush into the acrylic liquid and then 'draws' it across the acrylic powder. As she does this a 'bead' of mixed acrylic liquid and powder (L&P) forms on the tip of her brush. Then she can sculpt with it before it hardens (cures). Hope that Helps :-)
where can i get the nail tips or nails?
