Hey, I think I have a theory as to why Nicole rips his face off at the end... I think it's because the Marker is pissed off that Isaac left it on Aegis 7 to be destroyed, so it shows itself in the form of Nicole, just like it did throughout the whole game.

I agree with Quik, the symbols of the marker flashed by when she attacked you, and Issac was near the marker for a decent amount of time. In Dead Space 2, Issac is supposedly hallucinating some of the necromorphs, so you could be wasting bullets on nothing but your pure dementia.
