I passed that song in hard, and it was the #$%& song! obvious are harder songs but this song.. stress a lot to lose every 30 seconds.... but i do it!! not very well, but -i do it!! and others like 'through fire & flames', 'take this life', ' the way ...' or something like that ....... omg that songs are...

you have to tense up your wrist until it shakes, then channel that motion into hitting the green button.

what you were seeing: on the controller, as on the guitar, only the "highest" color being held down on a single note is counted, so you can alternatly tap green and red, while holding blue, to hit a fast string of blue notes.

If I'm correct, 5 star means that you have an average multiplier of 2.8x or higher.

i have the controller too and im almost done with hard but i cant move my fingers fast enough to hit the really fast notes not even hyperspeed at 5 helps

I just completed GH 3 with the controller on hard today and there is a trick. If its One that your are stuck on, after you hit the RYB chord, pause the game, plug in the guitar, and do the fast bit. When you get to the mega uber solo, plug the contoller back in and Star Power it.

its a special controller technique called alternate R/G strumming. since the game only registers the highest button being held down during any tap, you can quickly alternate-tap the green and red buttons while holding down yellow blue, or orange, to hit fast strings of Y, B, or O notes.

it isn't a different controller. I use a normal Xbox controller. no mods. no cheating (hyperspeed doesn't count as cheating). no faking.

watch my "ttfaf passed AGAIN" video and it will explain the technique a bit better.
