  • Saw them live in '85. Fuck me.... I am old

  • @MOSESCAT69 i envy you... my parents wouldn't let me go to FGtH in '85 because "they are too homosexual" and i had to pass it up.... i'm old, too, but at least we have youtube now :)

  • Just like David Byrne, fucking eighties genius, gay or not, where are they now?

Yeah respect to Eminem and Lady Gaga...but we put it down to, low quality drugs...nah, globalization and the internet, we all need to adhere, be the same.

  • trop bon les frankies et merci pour cette bonne musique

  • God bless holly johnson!! proper music!!

  • Badly Mimed :(

  • fantastic song

  • Great song, awful sync to tape. I can see how you'd be completely into being there, though.

  • QU ELLE MERDE

  • @sebaclasse Vas chier!

  • Holly please change your taylor!

  • GREAT SONG...LOUSY MIMING...

  • like this. 3分~3分20秒あたりは昔のアサヒビールのCM『あーいービール』に使われていましたね。

  • Unsurpassed !

  • An album you have to bring with you the day you leave the world for a far foreign island

  • The Original is the best! No Doubt!

  • Great Wonderful FGTH...the bass line in this song is amaaaazziiinggg!!!!!

  • @Fabmobile Amen to that ! The bass carries the whole song like in "Two Tribes". Sad to see those days are over now.

  • @Fabmobile

Correct! This song has an amazing bass line.

  • 80's were ultrafabulousosoextravaganzalicious!

  • whey hey hey the 80s i luv it.x

  • What a fun era in music !

There's no way for one who was there in this time, to explain the feeling; the groove of what's up with this time...

I'll say right here---you young folks really missed a great era of the 70's and 80's. !

There was sooooo much good music from the time, there isn't room to talk.

Depeche, Pet Shop, etc., etc., just a really fun time, and I miss those good times, as much of wht passes for music these days simply falls flat, by comparison. Not all, just most.

  • @ThatMiserableCat I was not born in that era but I think the music that came out of the 80s (at least when it comes to pop, new wave, alternative, ect.) was the most innovative and creative. It was over the top and eccentric but the artists didn' t indulge in the electronics so much as to take away the quality of their own voice as opposed to now where everyone is so obsessed with distorting their voice that they forget that they actually have to sound good when they perform, lady gaga

  • marehtseira wtf u mean a backup vocalist holly johnson was FGTH end of without him and his LEAD vocals the band wouldnt of gotten anywhere close to where they are now

    GET SERIOUS FFS

  • that suit is sooo big on him

  • that was the style then,,,lol

if u were from the 80s u would no that,,,

  • It went downhill from here.

  • THE decade was just ultrasuperbe, a rainbow of different styles, but all phenomenal, unique ...

  • the coat is soo funny!

  • It was the 80's, hon. Bigger was better :)

  • I like the way holly dances. great times, sooo with i was back in them days.

  • where is paul rutherford?

  • That's what I wondered, too. Although he was simply a backup vocalist and danced around a lot, but I figured that he still would be on stage during this song.

  • Love you Holly. You've been an inspiration to this straight dude.

  • shooting nazis never stops even when you reach the top mein fuhrer

  • :0) yeah

  • catchy song, but his suit IS baggy, was that intended

  • it was the eighties...

  • It's the 80's !!!

  • This changed British youth attitudes to thatcherite policies in UK. This was the start of we can do it before Obama was thought of........

  • Youth are stupid and operate purely on narcissistic emotion, not facts or experience. I noticed things haven't changed for the better in the UK since the "evil" Thatcher era. Obama is all style and no substance. He's going to bankrupt the western world. Who "thought" of Obama, by the way?

  • duranasty - you've never seen them play live, obviously.

  • would be interesting to find out how much of the music the lads played.the album was trevor and stephen from what i remember.

  • génial!!!!

  • Anarchists in suits ;-)

  • well said :D

  • Nice baggy suit :-)

  • the animals are winding me up !

  • hoo ha hoo ha hoo ha hoo ha ! wot a tune

  • You don´t find music like this nowadays great stuff

  • Greatest. Bassline. Ever.

  • Amen to that :)

  • it's quite extraordinary that the lead singer never dislocated a knee with the way he dances.

I have a writer cramp with all these comments

  • Love the band

  • what a song! one my favourite albuns of all time. unfortunately is playback

  • so?

  • it's always better to see them playing live

  • Thye played live and SOMETIMES they mimed to promote a record.

LIKE EVERY BAND ON THE PLANET.

    What is with YouTube idiots?

Either point out that a band are 'lip-syncing' or type FAKE.

    The world is fucked.

  • calm down. it seems you are one who's fucked up. what's the problem stating that I prefer to see them performing live? ffs...

  • and another thing: I played in a band and I always prefer to see our video recordings when I played live. what's the big fuss?

  • Wheres Paul?

  • behind you!! no he's in the corner love

  • oh...I thought that was a cameraman

  • Comment removed

  • omg

  • You stupid sad person, have some compassion and respect for a fellow human being. Oh shit thats right your to bigoted and retarded to even have a clue as to what those words actually mean.

  • HIV riddled is holly johnson. nothing wrong with bum fun then holly ?

  • Even the album version which is 13:39 long,

    is very shortened.

Trevor, give us the uncut version!!!

The last picture from Holly Johnson i ´ve seen

is from 2007 and you can find it with google.

  • I spent many a drunkin` night in the 80`s listening to this album, still one of my favorites and one of my favorite bassist!!

  • still one of my all time albums.

  • i´ve never seen anyone dancing like holly johnson - funny somehow, but great too.

  • Well just check an old vid of Bronski Beat then, Jimmy Sommerville dances in a similar fashion... was probably the gay style at the time.

  • short arse isnt he

  • yes and hes got woobly legs

  • Still love Frankie. Nasher was soooooooooooooooooooooHOT! :))

  • 00:52 -> 01:00

Is he miming? The sound seems to continue after he takes the microphone away from his mouth.

  • "00:52 -> 01:00

Is he miming? The sound seems to continue after he takes the microphone away from his mouth."

It's the delay effect they used.

  • Love welcome to the pleauredome. O'toole was a great bass player, and the early frankie tracks had great base lines which kind of got drowned out by everything else going on, maybe a case of over production

  • I love this song .. and i think their bassist

(O'toole) is one of the best bassists ever !

  • Peter´s Pop Show 1985 und ich war dabei

  • Sorry - PAUL RUTHERFORD

  • Mike Rutherford CAN DANCE

  • Holly is the King

  • Holly Johnson is still very much alive!

    He is not dead.

  • Back to the 80's.

    Great

  • Paul? Paul? Where are you?

  • This is not only the best FGTH song, it's one of the best songs of all time (listen to it a couple of times from the album version and you will know what I'm talking about).

    They were killer live.

  • Agree...

    Huw ha...

  • how young they looked back then. did paul have the night off? anyway best band ever, shame holly dosn't want to sing with them anymore.

  • Coolest band in the World back in 1985. This was by far their best song

  • My God how right you are!

  • they were the days life was so easy then.

  • Yes, lol. Now life is "rage hard".
